The Vicks Germ Free Cool Moisture Humidifier with UV Technology is really helping to increase the humidity levels in my home. It was very easy to set up, simple to refill with water, and only requires plugging in and turning the dial to your desired setting. It holds 1 gallon of water &amp; that will last a very long time before needing a refill. I have kept my setting on low in my bedroom while sleeping &amp; it will last at least 3 nights. I appreciate that I can use regular tap water &amp; it gives me the assurance of knowing that it is filtering what comes out into the air using the ultra-violet light leaving my air 99.9% germ free. It had a small pack of Vick&rsquo;s scent and that helped with stopped up noses. The instructions are very simple and it very simple to clean and manage. I love that you can switch the fan to high medium and low. It keeps the air moist and the tank lasts a long time filled with water. You don&rsquo;t have to keep refilling it that often. The cool mist has really helped moisturize the air in my bedroom so I haven't awoke with a bloody nose and the Vicks Vapo pads has also kept me from waking with sinus issues, i.e. runny nose or stuffed nose. I love the fact that this unit as a top loading water basin and the handle definitely makes it easier to carry from bathroom to bedroom. The included filter has made a very noticeable difference in the air quality in my bedroom. For removing scale you use undiluted vinegar and for disinfecting a mix of water and bleach. I am able to sleep and breathe better. It is easy to set-up and use. Just take off the top tank, take out the filter and wet it (cold water, not soaked) and than put it back in, add water to the tank, close the tank, put the tank back on. I put in my Vick&rsquo;s Pod too on the top and it helps open up my breathing, I love them! You than plug it in and turn it on. That easy. Just fill it up as it gets low and make sure you clean it when needed. The cool mist doesn&rsquo;t make the room cool, it does make more moisture I believe. I love that the humidifier only puts out germ free water-making sure that my family and I are not inhaling anything harmful that could cause issues. I definitely recommend this humidifier! It is perfect for kids since it puts out a cool mist making it safe just in case they do touch the mist and is germ free too. I have chronic sinus problems the vaporizer makes a big difference overnight, so that when I wake up, it doesn't take me blowing my nose for 10 minutes and turning the bathroom into a sauna to try and break up the mucus in my sinuses and nose. I just wake up and it feels like I can breathe normally. It also helps keep my nose from drying out and bleeding, which is a common and unfortunate side effect of nasal sprays. Additionally, I found that using one of the &quot;life-extending&quot; tablets or pods that you place in the water tank keep the vaporizer from getting build-up and help the filter last longer. The &quot;1&quot; setting on this is fairly quiet. The &quot;2&quot; setting is perfect if you like to sleep with white noise. Out of all the humidifiers we have used this is the best for us.
