My daughter had a cough for weeks. I set up the humidifier one night and low and behold her cough was gone the next day. I used a Vick&rsquo;s VapoPad that came with the humidifier. When my niece started with a cough I bought the liquid inhalant to use in the humidifier. The next day her cough was gone. It is relatively easy to set up and easy to clean. This is definitely something everyone needs in their household. It is cold and flu season here. Our family has been hit with it all plus sinus infections. We have used it in every room in our house. I actually went out and purchased a second one just like this one so I don't have to move it so many times. I may just purchase one for each of the bedrooms. Depending on the level you put it on you can actually have it running 24 hours a day. It is so nice not having to worry about filling it up several times a day. It holds a gallon of water. This product is for a medium/large room. My favorite part is that you can use Vicks Vaposteam for coughs or Vicks Vapopads in it. It has a medicine cup for inhalants. This is such a blessing when you are trying to keep your nasal passages open while sleeping. This particular product is a warm mist humidifier. It has an auto shut off for when it runs out of water. It also has a wide opening for cleaning and filling. We have very hard water so I was concerned about keeping it clean. I have had no problems keeping it cleaned and keeping the sediments for building up. I have used several of Vick's products in the past and this one hands down are my favorite. I love that it holds a gallon of water and it has an automatic shutoff so we don't have to worry about it if no-one doesn't catch the water getting low. I love being able to Vaposteam or Vick's Vapopads into clear or nasal passages. It is an all in one product without having to use anything else. Excellent products, windows were covered in water after running it on high overnight. The noise is very minimal, really quiet bubbling. I have sinus issues during this cold weather and this solved them immediately. The actual cleaning takes less than 20 minutes of your time. Closed my bedroom door and turned it upon high and woke up in the morning and the windows were so covered with moisture that I couldn't see outside. The clear tank shows water lever and shuts off when empty. Full tank will run about 12 hours . The tank has a handle for carrying and filling. The first time I used it with the one sample pad that was included in the package. It claims to last for 8 hours, however it didn&rsquo;t really work for more than 2 hours. The next time I used it with just the liquid Vapo Steam and it worked a tad bit better, however it evaporated within an hour. A few days ago, I decided to use 2 Vapo Pads and the liquid Vapo Steam to see if it worked better. My 3 year old has a light cold and was a tad bit stuffy, so I wanted to see how well thus would work. It steamed for at least 4 hours and the room was filled with the Vicks Vaporizer and she rested well. It works very well helping you breathe when you're stuffed up from congestion and coughs and helps you sleep better at night. It's very lightweight, easy to fill, easy to clean, has a long cord, runs for a long time, nice amount of noise. I used the VapoPads Refill Pads -- it puts nice menthol vapors into the air which really helps with breathing. The medicine cup is very useful to add Vicks Vapo Steam as it helps with congestion as well. The water heats up quickly to start running. It has an automatic shutoff and a reset light that illuminates when it's empty. What I am especially fond of is that it doesn't require filters. Is 99% bacteria-free steam mist. It is very easy to use, and it is much nicer than ones I have used in the past. It&rsquo;s not bulky so I can put it on my side table in my room and it fits along with my lamp and chargers. It works very well. This humidifier has a one gallon tank so it lasts for up to 24 hours. It never spilled or made a mess. I put Vick&rsquo;s vapor in the machine to help me sleep. It worked so well! This warm mist humidifier is helping me breathe easier at night. It is super simple to set up &amp; I love that it can be used with Vicks VapoPads or Vicks VapoSteam. The tank has a nice wide opening to make filling it easy. There are 2 speeds &amp; once I turned it on the steam started to appear after just a few minutes. I have used this device for about 10 days so I know that it is past time to clean it. I haven&rsquo;t done that yet but the directions look very easy to follow in order to remove scale &amp; disinfect with a soft brush &amp; vinegar. I&rsquo;ll be sure to clean it before I use it with the Vicks VapoSteam that I bought yesterday. This unit needs to be kept at least a foot away from walls &amp; 4 feet away from your bedside. I was using it on a small bedside table but felt that it always needed a towel underneath to protect the wood surface from the steam so I bought a metal tray table to set it on. The unit has not leaked at all since I&rsquo;ve been using it but if it were to ever leak then it won&rsquo;t harm the metal table. I run the warm mist humidifier overnight and my sleeping has greatly improved. I don&rsquo;t wake up in the middle of the night coughing because my sinus and throat has become dry. My unit came with one free sample of Vicks menthol pad which is super easy to install. I used it and I slept like a baby. It also has a medicine cup area to add liquid aromatic products. You can adjust the steam to your liking. The Vick Warm Mist humidifier has a long running time with an auto shut off. That way I don&rsquo;t have to worry about turning it off if I forget. My favorite feature is the aromatic cup and the scented pad area. I also love that I can add menthol vapor pads to help when I&rsquo;m congested. Cleaning the unit is fairly simple. I like that I can put the removable parts in my dish washer following the manual directions. I definitely will continue using. The opening for the water is much easier to open than other humidifiers I've owned, which I really appreciate. My only negative is that is only has two settings, high and low. I prefer an adjustable knob but the amount that high and low produce make sense with the settings. It's also nice that there's a place for a Vicks pad to be inserted, and also a receptacle on top to add your own oils or vapors. It's nice and quiet and creates nice steam and it doesn't get a hot as some other warm mist humidifiers.
