Usually, my sinuses dry out when I wake up in the morning. This fixed that problem the first night I used it. It is very simple to set up and get ready. Make sure you give it time to adjust the humidity in the room when you first set it up. It takes a little while depending on the size of the room it&rsquo;s in. It took about 30 minutes in my bedroom. It will also shut off when the tank is empty which is a great feature in my opinion. The one thing I haven&rsquo;t tried yet because I haven&rsquo;t needed it, but am looking forward to is the vapor dispenser it has. The box comes with one to try. It&rsquo;s supposed to help with stuffiness by dispensing Vick&rsquo;s into the room. I haven&rsquo;t had a cold or any stuffiness so I have not used it yet but you better bet when the time comes I will. I have really enjoyed this product. It&rsquo;s really easy to set up and refill when needed. I used to have the very old Vicks vaporizer that didn't have any features but putting water in and plug in. This little machine has some great features to it. I love the fact that it shuts itself off when the water runs out. It has 2 settings, both settings with last the whole night while we sleep, which is great. I have always felt better when I rubbed Vicks on my chest, but didn't like the sticky feeling. With this machine, you can put the pod in and still get the great medicinal benefits from Vicks, without rubbing it on yourself. I do wish that you could fill the tank from the top, but really no big deal. This has really helped with our coughs and congestion at night. We can all sleep better when this is on. It's easily portable, since we were moving it from room to room, since we were all sick. Actually, we were fighting over who got the machine at night!! It is quiet, kinda with a soft soothing sound, but definitely not loud at all. If we ever all get sick again, I'll be buying another one so that we can all use it same time. It has helped her tremendously. It came with a sample Vicks Method Vapopad that makes the vapors so soothing. The pads also come in three choices of medicated pads that you can use with the humidifier, soothing menthol, sleepy time and calming vapors pads. When using the pads you put it in the scent pad door underneath the power knob. You can also use Liquid inhalant too by pouring it in the medicine cup on the unit that is removable, by all means, do not add to the water tank, reservoir or the mist chimney just in the cup. The Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier is very easy to operate, fill and clean. When filling only fill with cold water. It holds a gallon of water and runs for 24 hours with auto shut off. I have noticed since I been letting my daughter use the humidifier at night it has helped her sleep better. What I like the most is you can also use essential oils with it as well and when running it's not very noisy and does not interfere with her sleeping. This one has a long power cord. The clear blue water tank is great cause you can see how much water is left in the tank. This unit has a removable medicine cap for easy cleanup. Only need to put one tablespoon of liquid inhalant into the blue medicine cap on top. On the left side bottom it has a little pullout door if you prefer to use a vicks vapopad. The scent pad lasts a good eight hours of use before you need to replace a new pad. Took three mins after turning machine on for it to start producing steam from the top where the blue medicine cap is placed. I was surprised that its actually quiet while using. You have the option to change the level of humidity to low or high. This Vicks warm mist humidifier is a lifesaver and I can't recommend it enough. When you first use it, there is a strong smell of plastic.
