I highly recommend them as starter building toys for beginner builders. I like that the blocks are a larger size, but still easy for your little ones to handle. I also like that the blocks are super lightweight. They&rsquo;re also made of plastic and very durable. The plastic surface makes them easy to wipe clean. I blocks have built in magnets that click to lock together. There are clear indentations and protrusions on the blocks to show where and how to attach and lock the magnets on the blocks together. The magnets inside the activity blocks are strong and attracts the opposite magnet nicely. My 2 year old only needed a few tries to get the hang of how to work the magnets and he&rsquo;s been playing it ever since. My 3 year old was able to figure it out instantly. My only con is that the activity blocks are sold as sets and the pieces in each set are not enough to build with. This Dive and Soar set comes as a 11 piece set with 2 building blocks, 9 various attachments that are sensory or resemble parts of a submarine or airplane. I like that this set actually builds something, but didn&rsquo;t like the lack of actual building blocks to stack and build more so to speak. The magnetic toys are always a huge hit with my toddler. These are well made and durable to hold up against a rough toddler. She did have some trouble figuring out out to fit the wheels on but I think that is something developmentally she will learn with time.
