Big numbers so it&rsquo;s easy to read as well. The batteries came with it. It is very portable and durable. At the same time, the accuracy is questionable. Each time I tried the thermometer, it gave me a slightly different reading - though always within the green range. I do believe that if someone is really feverish, it will be clear. I would not rely on this for a definitive temperature reading.
