The base collects a lot of water and to refill it each night creates a mess. Using it in a nursery where you have cords hidden from small children makes it hard to do each night. The cone part on the top collects condensation and leave a water ring wherever you put it down. Then when you pull the tank off the base more water spills. I really wanted to love it but honestly don&rsquo;t. Since it can&rsquo;t be returned after using it, we are still using it but the design could much better. Also the light does not stay on while running which could be a preference to some, I just wasn&rsquo;t sure if it was still running. Upon arrival, I unpacked it and was very pleased with how well it was packaged. The setup was very easy and the steps were clearly outlined in the booklet that accompanied the unit. Also, care and cleaning instructions were included and very easy to understand. I have used the product for two weeks now and have loved it. Where I live, the weather has been very up and down - 90 degrees one day and 50 degrees the next, so we have used the product with both the air conditioning on and the heat on. We have not experienced any issues with it and feel it helped transition between two extremes in weather. One of my kiddos is susceptible to nose bleeds with weather transitions and he did not have any this past week. The unit is also very quiet and we do not notice any background sound. I am looking forward to using this product throughout this fall and winter season. I've always used humidifiers in my children's rooms, particularly when they are congested, but never took the time to use one myself. This product's design can fit in any room. It is small enough to fit on a bedside table with room to spare. It holds a lot of water for it's size. I ran it all night and there was still water left in the reservoir in the morning. I love that it is quiet (I'm a light sleeper) and the indicator light turns off after you select the level of air flow. I always liked the nightlight feature for humidifiers for my children's room but I was happy not to have additional light in my room with this model. I'm happy with the airflow of the cool mist and could tell the difference in my room pretty quickly. That means I can maintain the darkness in my room at night because my humidifier light isn't shining toward me from my night stand. As it goes through water in the tank, there is an occasional glug-glug sound, but it's so quiet, you'll forget it was even there beside the fact you wake up feeling great (no dried out sinuses)! First of all, I was surprised with its power. It isn't some huge tank, but still managed to fill a room. On low, it emptied after about 12-15 hours of use. On high, it emptied after about 4-5 hours of use. Remember, it's a smaller tank so it's meant for for medium or smaller sized rooms. Second of all, I love the many bonus features. For example, it has a handle at the top of the tank making it easy to refill and/or empty. Also, the light to indicate which setting you've chosen doesn't stay on. That's especially nice for when I'm sleeping, so I don't have a bright LED light staring at me through the night! I also really love their Vapor Pads. These are purchased separately. On the base, there's a slot to add these. It'll add relaxing aromas as it vaporizes. I find this especially helpful with my littles when they're sick or congested. Third, I never thought I'd think this of a humidifier, but it's beautiful. The white and clear design makes it work in any room of our house and isn't an eyesore. You also don't notice it because it really is very quiet! Overall, I think this humidifier is great for any family. It's really helped us to find relief from all of the hot, dry air where we live. Prior to testing this Crane Droplet Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier, we already use Aqua Drop Cool Mist Humidifiers in each of our children&rsquo;s bedrooms. The Droplet is slightly smaller, more compact. Where as the Drop Humidifiers have a settings knob to select the mist intensity and an indication light, the Droplet Humidifier has buttons and no light. I am partial to the buttons. Also, the buttons play an important role in giving the Droplet a sleek design. I love having the indication lights in the children&rsquo;s rooms, but as the Droplet is in my bedroom, I also love that the Droplet does not have a light. The Droplet Humidifier has a feature that the Drop Humidifiers do not: a vapor tray for Vapor Pads. I like that the Droplet has this feature! We were provided with a sample of the &lsquo;menthol, peppermint, eucalyptus, and lemon oil&rsquo;, however, we did not enjoy this scent. I love the style of the humidifier- it doesn't look clunky or out of place and it's small enough to stay out of the way. But most of all it is effective and easy to clean, which is a must with 4 kids!! The design is beautiful and incorporates well into any decor/theme, but most importantly, the humidifier works incredibly well! I have my droplet in my bedroom because I suffer from allergy issues, but I also have a newborn baby! From the time baby was born/in the hospital, until now, my baby&rsquo;s congestion has subsided without the use of medications. I have also experienced less breathing issues and better sleep after using the droplet. It&rsquo;s so quiet, which is perfect for baby or kids rooms. There&rsquo;s never any moisture left on the counter after it runs for awhile like some others leave. I also really like that the light turns off after a few seconds, especially at night. It&rsquo;s super easy to clean and refill. I&rsquo;ve tried several other brands and the Crane Droplet is by far my favorite. It&rsquo;s the easiest to use, clean, and causes no extra noise or light plus the design is really cute and not an eyesore or bulky at all. I wanted to give it almost 2 weeks of testing before writing my review, I wanted to go through using it then cleaning it to see how great this product truly is. First, upon the first use I found this humidifier very useful. I used it at night and it&rsquo;s so quiet other than the little flow of water that you hear going through now again, it&rsquo;s next to silent. I&rsquo;ve been suffering from allergies and intense congestion for the last few months and after a few days of using the humidifier through the night the congestion significantly improved! And is still improving yet. I use this humidifier every night and intend to use it for my children&rsquo;s room once the winter months come and we are constantly using the electric heat. I love this humidifier for the silence and the fact that it&rsquo;s cold mist is the greatest!! Now cleaning, wow. So simple and easy. All you need is a little white vinegar and water to disinfect it! Refilling is also easy! They thought of everything when making this. Its quiet, even at the highest setting. Its light turns off so it doesnt bother you while trying to sleep. You can adjust which direction the mist comes out. And probably my favorite part, it turns off on its own when it runs out of water! I've been using this every night for over a week now and it is love! It was simple to put together, especially since it doesn't require a filter, and just as simple to clean. The kids are already fighting over who's room this will go in during the winter when we use a humidifier every night for months!
