We have a wondering toddler that doesn't know how to use stairs yet so when we go camping we worry about him falling. He is also very smart and figured out how to use the wooden ones. This one latches so its much harder for him to try and work. The height is about 26.75 inches tall. There is no base bar so it&rsquo;s easy to enter or exit through the gate. We have crib and changing table from dream baby and love those as well! This is a permanent gate that screws into the wall which is exactly what we needed.. We have uneven even trim in our house so it was very helpful to have a gate that can say there all the time l. it is easy to use, easy to install and protect my baby from going to the basement stairs. The gate comes with two panels that can be screwed together to adjust the length to any doorway width. Instructions are clear, but Faye is a little tedious and confusing to assemble. Every aspect has to be put together from the hinges to the latch. Latch is easy to open but remains secure when children try to open it. His bedroom door is close to the stairway and I've been worried he could fall down the stairs in the dark. The top of the stairway is a difficult spot to find a baby gate that will fit properly so the Dreambaby Arizona Extenda Gate was just what we were looking for. It has no bar on the bottom so it isn't a tripping hazard when it's open and it adjusts in small increments so we have a perfect fit. The wall mounts are small and since they screw into the wall, the gate is much sturdier than the pressure mounted styles. My favorite thing is the extension is in the gate itself rather than on either side so it doesn't narrow the opening and is easy to open and close.
