The seat itself was not broken, was still in position and my child was well protected! The only downside I hate is that my child can undo the chest club buckle but otherwise I absolutely love it and it&rsquo;s features. If you want SAFE this is your seat. Never in a million years did I think we&rsquo;d be involved in an accident but I&rsquo;m happy to say this chair truly did save my child. When the seat arrived, I set it up and tried using it, but it didn&rsquo;t work properly. I reached out to the company and went through an easy troubleshooting process. They ultimately decided that the seat was faulty, so they sent a replacement. It did take a bit for the replacement to arrive because of delays, but I was very pleased with the communication and customer service from Evenflo. After testing the replacement, I decided that the seat is very good. I love the ratcheting LATCH system and the lock offs for seat belt installation. We don&rsquo;t have trouble with our children unbuckling the chest clip, so I can&rsquo;t attest to that, but the other features of the app are really cool! It alerts you if the chest clip is still buckled when you walk away from the car, and if you don&rsquo;t acknowledge the alert, it will automatically notify other family members that you&rsquo;ve added to the app. A really great safety feature for sleep deprived caregivers. My child also really loves the two cup holders + snack tray. On the cons side, the harness straps are a bit difficult to tighten; you really have to have good leverage above the seat to pull them tight. All of our children are rear facing, so that&rsquo;s the only way we tested it with actual use. Overall, it&rsquo;s a good choice for a seat, especially if you have a child who enjoys unbuckling their chest clip. To my delight, the seat is extremely easy to navigate, even the SensorSafe technology that comes with it! I really love the idea of only needing one car seat ever, so this was a no-brainer for me. The fuss of constantly changing gear in and out is so stressful. My daughter is 17 months old at this writing, and even without the infant inserts, she is still comfortably nestled and protected in the seat the way she should be. She&rsquo;s even bigger than average, so for it to still be comfortable for her was a huge deal to us. The absolute coolest thing about this seat is the SensorSafe technology on the chest clip that connects via Bluetooth to an app on your phone. The app itself is super accessible and will alert you if the buckle is undone, if the temperature in the car is too high, or if you&rsquo;ve walked too far away from the car (it will even alert other members of your family if you ignore three alerts&mdash;talk about thorough). The only issue that I&rsquo;ve found is that the chest clip is a little easier to unfasten that other car seats I&rsquo;ve used in the past, so my daughter has unfastened it a few times. I have to keep an eye on her through the rear view mirror (and of course, the app alerts me as well). One of the best parts of the seat is that there is an actual ratchet (pictured) to assist you in tightening down the seat. No need to put all your weight on the seat and wrestle it down as tight as you can get it, the ratchet takes care of that for you. This alone makes the seat worth its weight in gold. It's so nice to be able to use one car seat from birth through childhood, especially since we have two summer babies and didn't need to bundle our kids up in an infant carrier in the winter. Initially, my favorite parts of this seat were the high-quality feeling of the buckles/strap release buttons, the pulls to release the latch straps (much easier than digging around to push a button), and the ratchet/crank to tighten the latch straps. The crank made it so I didn't have to sit on top of the seat to get enough slack to tighten the seat securely and then yank with all my might. It&rsquo;s honestly the first time I&rsquo;ve ever been able to install a car seat by myself without my husband&rsquo;s help. This right here justifies the purchase. Beyond the initial parts of this seat, I also enjoyed the app that alerts you to a number of safety issues that could endanger your child. Although my kids are a little young to unbuckle themselves, I can see how in the future, it's going to come in very handy to be alerted a kid has unbuckled their chest clip without having to turn around/take my eyes off the road. There were a couple components that didn't feel quite as high-quality as other seats we've used: the Styrofoam molding is visible under the seat cover up around the heigh adjuster; the inserts for smaller babies have a foam feeling, rather than a batting/fabric-filled feeling. But neither of these were deal-breakers by any means. It arrived in a single box and was well packaged to protect the car seat during the shipment and delivery process. I wish I had the DLX Kingsley 4-in-1 convertible car seat when my son was an infant. Aside from the safety, which is always my top priority, my favorite feature is the adaptability of this seat to safely support a child for the duration of car seat need. That is so appealing as a parent of multiple kids! The seat is simple and visually attractive. The material is easy to wipe clean and appears like it will remain fresh looking for years to come. My son is 4 years old and rides forward facing in the 5-point harness. The information packet that came with the car seat was easy to follow to support a safe installation. I installed initially with just the seatbelt and the anchor. That provided a secure seat. I also installed with the ratchet system. It was easier than previous car seats (several brands and styles). The car seat was very well situated on the car&rsquo;s seat. It is a wider car seat than other car seats I&rsquo;ve used for my children over the years, which might be a drawback for some people. My 7 year old was able to sit beside him comfortably in the car though, so it is not too wide to fit in most cars with additional passengers. It is larger than some car seats, since it is a 4-in-1, but I was impressed with its weight and the ease of carrying and moving it from the house to the car. My son said it was very comfortable and loved the cup and snack holders for food and the treasures that he finds on outings. He especially liked the car seat&rsquo;s height and that he could easily see out of the window. The safety and technology components of this seat with the Sensorsafe tech and app are practical and comforting. Time will tell how reliable the app truly is. Out of the box, the car seat felt and appeared solid, but not too heavy or bulky to maneuver. The material looks to be good quality and the Quick Clean cover should make cleaning a breeze when a mess is made (it&rsquo;s bound to happen, right?). The seat is easy to install with the Latch system. The EasyClick ratchets make adjustments easier and more secure than ever! Of course, the cup holders are a plus. Immediately upon opening the box, I was drawn to the sleek look of the car seat and the quilted pattern of the padding. For me, the car seat was difficult to install. I couldn&rsquo;t get the car seat to recline to the correct position and even cut my finger. My husband had no trouble installing the seat, though. Some of my favorite features are the sensor safe chestclip, pull release for the latch system, the easy to use ratchet for the latch, and the insert for the cup holder that has a small snack tray. I was thrilled to be selected by the Stellar Product Testing Panel to test out this seat. We had been looking for a seat for another vehicle so we were eager to get it set up. I was pleased to discover that the All4One DLX will grow with my son. This is probably my favorite feature right off the bat. Prior to installation, I put him in the seat to make any harness and recline adjustments and he looked so comfortable in it. I first attempted to install the seat in our Toyota Corolla using the LATCH system. Unfortunately, I wasn&rsquo;t able to get an appropriate recline even with a rolled towel, and the width of the base and LATCH buckles didn't allow for a safe fit. We decided to try the seat out in our main vehicle, Chevy Equinox. The installation was much easier in this vehicle and we were able to achieve the appropriate recline and safe installation. Since my son is still on the younger side, the Sensorsafe tech and app aren&rsquo;t really necessary for us at the moment. I can see how it would be helpful for older children who might be able to unbuckle their chest clips. The app was very easy to set up. Since installing, we&rsquo;ve only had baby in it about 3 times. He seems to be very comfortable in it and it is easy to adjust the harness as needed. I decided to try this seat out on my older son who will be 5 in June. He is front facing, around 40lbs &amp; 44&quot; tall. Out of the box, the seat is big &amp; bulky. It was hard to figure out how to adjust the crotch buckle as there is no way to easily access it. I sat him in it inside our home to adjust the buckles/straps &amp; headrest to fit him properly which was pretty easy &amp; standard. He said his new chair was pretty comfy and felt like he had arm rests so he could rest his arms. I have a Toyota Camry with another brand full size convertible car seat in it as well for my 3 year old, I found this one to be a little bigger &amp; bulkier which took a little more room in the back seat. Luckily for us, we don't have a need for the middle seat in the back, but if we did , we definitely couldn't fit an extra person back there. Installing the seat was a little difficult. The latch straps aren't very long to begin with. I struggled getting the latches to securely clip in because the latch handles are so big. Once secured, I realized that regardless of what recline setting I initially set the seat at, it would put the seat at the most upright seating position because of the strap length. This would give my child absolutely no recline and would make his head flop all the way forward when he slept. He didn't like that much and would complain his neck hurt when he woke up. The ratchet system to secure the latch system is amazing. That is one of my favorite features of the seat, it makes securing it 100 times easier than the old traditional pull straps &amp; I don't have to worry that they're too loose. My other favorite feature is the sensorsafe strap. It's super easy to connect to the phone and will let you know when you're child is still buckled and when they unbuckle themselves. My kids have figured out how to unbuckle themselves since they were like 2! So this saved a lot of surprises &amp; headaches. It also warns you when it's too hot, when your child needs a car seat break because they've been in there too long and if you forget your kids in the car and you don't respond, it alerts your family members! That's pretty cool. I love the idea of being able to use one car seat for 10 years, but I don't feel that's realistic. I think it might be a great seat for rear facing children, but with difficulties I had installing it in my car as forward facing, it might be difficult to transition to forward facing. Also, I have a pretty small standard vehicle, which was difficult to latch, my sister has a Chevy Traverse and my mom has a Chevy Equinox and their latches are a little further apart, I wasn't able to latch it into their seats. Had to use their old seats in those cars. All in all, I do like the idea of the seat. I think it's great for younger rear facing children. I can't wait to try it as a booster seat when my son get a little bigger. If the latch straps were a little longer and the seat gave just a little bit of a recline so the kids aren't slumped forward all the way when sleeping, I'd give it a higher rating.
