She loves the bright colours and rolling the dinosaurs about, mainly enjoys playing with the large dinosaur. Especially the biggest dinosaur that rattles when she rides it! She also loves the smallest Dino that spins around! It always brings a smile to her face! We recently had a friend over with a five year old boy, well he enjoyed this toy as well. The bright colours make it very inviting and the beads inside make a nice noice which attracted my child to it. When pulled along the end dinosaurs head spins round which was another great feature of this toy. The packaging infuriated me because when I first opened the box I saw some easy to use, twist off, quick release clips. I thought &quot;great! I can get it out straight away!). Only to then discover it was also held in place by cable ties that out matched my mum rage. parent-proof. Rendering the quick release clips pointless since you need scissors or a knife anyway. Once I got it out I checked it all over, as I do with all toys. The build quality is exceptionally good. Not so much as a rough edge anywhere. The set consists of three pieces that connect together like a train, each one shaped like a dinosaur and with a different function. The front piece is a triceratops with a mirror shiny section inside its back, filled with little balls that are agitated when it is pushed along. The middle section is a T-Rex type Dino that nods when moved along and the end piece is a baby T-Rex type Dino that spins all the way around as it moves along. The three pieces come apart from each other but only go together in that order. Each one can also be used by itself. It was very easy for my daughter to push or pull the whole train along and she enjoyed the functions. However, when the pieces are separated the middle and last sections don't really function properly. The front section has four wheels so works perfectly whether it's joined with the others or not, but the other two sections only have two wheels each so have tiny plastic nobbles on the bottom to stop them tipping over, but these make it hard for little ones to push them along without joining them to the front piece. The last piece also has the issue that holding it in any of the intuitive ways available to little hands, or even parents hands, renders it unable to spin around without catching on the hand. so again, it doesn't really function on its own. It's recommended from the age of six months which I think is right, my daughter tired of it very quickly as she is 15months now and used to things with more functions and requiring imagination or effort. I think she would have liked it more when she was younger and less mobile. She does like the colours and the dinosaur theme, and enjoys connecting the sections together. Overall, I would say that it's an OK toy for younger children but could do with some improvements to the packaging and the functionality when the pieces are separate (extra wheels? push/pull handles that don't put hands in the way? ability to connect in a different order?). The balls inside the dinosour is brilliant as makes noise as it moves. It pulls along smoothly and doesnt fall apart. I love that it doesnt need batterys like most toys now days! All round a great toy which is durable and wouldnt break easily at all. Would definitely recommend this to anyone with babies at similar age.
