The pizza area is a soft fabric covered crinkle material with a tag to hold and gum (we all know babies love to find the tags on any toy and chew on them!), and the crust is a rubbery, nubby texture that would be easy to grip. My toddler is still cutting teeth but his are coming up in the molar area and this teether wasn't quite the right shape for him to work those gums on. When he was younger, crinkle toys were his favorite though and I could see this being a favorite back then if we had it!</span>

He crinkled it, and it went right into his mouth where he chewed on it with his brand new two front teeth. He definitely approved. I also liked this teether. It has several different textures to it. and the "crust" part has a nice little wave. It's also a great size for little hands. My baby had no trouble picking it up and manipulating it.</span>
