He is able to grasp it well, loves shaking it and laughs at the sound. He is now able to say the color &ldquo;yellow&rdquo; and points to this toy. She loves the sounds of the little beads shaking inside. The build quality is very durable and can withstand drops and throws. The vibrant colors also catch my little ones eyes. He is able to hold onto it and sometimes shake it. It is light enough for him to hold longer than i thought he would be able to. He seems to like this rattle more than any of his others. My 5 month old loves noise making toys and especially loved this one! She enjoyed the animal shape and it&rsquo;s bright colors . I do however wish the toy had more balls in the shaker so it could be a little louder for the baby to engage with . The toy was very easy for baby&rsquo;s little hands to grasp and it&rsquo;s a well made toy. It&rsquo;s small size makes it easy to just place in a diaper bag or store when play time is over . I do think that the tail should be smooth on both sides. The back of the tail is hollowed out, so it has grooves in it. It makes it more difficult to clean, with small opened areas.
