When first using the thermometer I had a difficult time getting it to switch from rectal to oral but once I figured it out it&rsquo;s a breeze taking the kids temperatures. Make sure that this is correct (oral, rectal or under the arm) for the most accurate temperature reading. The temperature seems to be accurate as well. Over the last week it has been showing he has a fever on and off, causing us to initiate testing with our pediatrician. After so many negative tests we purchased a second (and third) thermometer to compare the results. We found this thermometer consistently reads at least 1-2 degrees higher than any other. Now not only has my baby gone thru unnecessary sinus swabs and blood draws, I&rsquo;m out hundreds of dollars of copays and fees. This product should not be available for purchase.
