My husband notices the battery pack was hot while my son was sitting in it and took out the batteries. As he was holding the first battery he took out, the battery exploded and the plastic was warped. My 3 month old loves to relax in this bouncer more than my other son liked his swayer that we got as a gift. The batteries seem to last a long time as we've only had to change them out once since we started using it, which is great. The quality of the fabric is good and makes it easy to clean after a baby spill. I've had a different one and the auto bouncing mechanism was clunky and at times loud. This one is not loud and is soothing for the baby.
