This is important to me because my little one is picky about hat's but he seems to love this one. No tears when we put it on him. It's a nice, thick, warm hat that should get him thrpigh the winter. It looked so warm in the photos. The hat is a little big on their heads (they are 2 months old) but it keeps them warm. This will be perfect when the temperature drops even lower. It's super warm and we've had a bunch of compliments. The neutral color goes with anything and can be used for girl or boy. The only downside is that it's a little bit big. I love the fact that it is gender neutral and can be worn by either a girl or a boy. I do wish that the hat would come in a size 0-3 months, because it was too large for my daughter's head. My daughter's head circumference is in the 71st percentile as of 1 month appointment (which was yesterday). The hat was so large that when I put it on her it would fall down and cover her entire face. I would pull the back down farther so that it wouldn't cover her eyes, but as she moved her head the hat would once again fall over her eyes and face.
