I hate toys that play the same the songs over and over again. This seemed to have a nice range of sound. Wrong!! The nature sounds cycle through 3 seconds clips which include seagulls. Not very soothing. Why can&rsquo;t I just run the ocean continuously. The best light mode which shows two colors at once only plays on story mode or nature/music mode. It can&rsquo;t combine with the music which is the best audio option. For advertising 6 light modes, why is the best light modes not an option!?! My son has loved his toy hippo since he was 6 months old. He is now 17 months and gets so excited when he sees it. The stars provide just enough light to cascade across the entire ceiling but not so bright that it keeps your little one awake. It's noise activated so it turns on music and stars in a second. I personally turn off the music at night and leave the stars. We use the music/storytime/nature sounds during diaper changes or quiet time before bed. We named out hippo Henry. Henry is the best! We've been giving it the same toy as gifts to new parents. The first thing I noticed upon opening the package was just how cute this little hippo is. I love that it was designed to look and act as a stuffed animal but has so many features that both my son and daughter have loved. The songs that are included in this hippo are very soothing and help calm my kids right to sleep. I was beyond impressed by how well the lights project and my little ones have been so excited every night to turn them on. This soothing starlight hippo has been a great addition to our nighttime routine and I absolutely love it.
