<span itemprop="description">The monitor stopped working after 7 months of use, now the screen is just black. Although we still get sound, purchasing a monitor so you can see your infant is the whole point of these. Don’t waste your money. The battery life is also terrible, only lasts a few hours after it’s been plugged in and fully charged.</span>

<span itemprop="description">We were pleased enough with this monitor (it does all the basics, which is all we wanted), and we liked the fact that we could purchase an additional camera when baby # 2 arrived. However, after 18 months of use, the battery life on this monitor is awful. It won't last an evening (about 7:30pm-10:00pm) before dying and needing to be recharged, even with the screen off for the entire time. It will last even less time if we have the volume set to anything above "mute" (which obviously greatly hinders its usefulness as a monitor). It used to last all day for all of our monitoring needs (2 naps about 2 hours each, plus a whole evening) without needing to be recharged until we went to bed, as long as we turned it off while not being used. The whole idea behind picking a unit with 2-camera capability is to have this product last multiple children, but our second child hasn't even arrived yet and I suppose we're going to have to buy a whole new unit. I won't be purchasing another one from Summer Infant as this is too big of a draw back.</span>

De plus, on ne voit pas du tout le bébé dans sa chambre l'après-midi lors de la sieste (??). Sinon quand on réussi à voir quelque chose, la qualité de l'image est médiocre. Je ne recommande pas cet achat.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Don’t waste your money on electronics from Summer Infant!! They are horrible quality made to last the 12 months they’re covered under warranty and then break down. It won’t even last you through your first child!! The company discontinues their products so customers will have to repurchase an entire system and doesn’t have the option to buy a replacement part. Customer service was horrible for me, telling me there was nothing they could do for my product that still has sound and video but won’t show video when the camera is connected. Ridiculous. They couldnt even offer me a discount code for purchasing another product from them. I bought their monitor based on a recommendation from the BuyBuyBaby registry consultant helping me but wish I’d gone with a brand I knew actually had my best interest in mind and wasn’t just looking for a quick $200+ profit.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Camera was not easy to mount with the sticky back. We had to screw it on the wall. A bit more safe that way. Clear image, but the monitor takes a few seconds of button pushing to turn on. In all, the unit works well and does the job. The two way intercom is also nice.</span>

Yes, the LookOut 5.0 Inch Color Video Monitor has a power save mode feature to help conserve battery life by automatically turning off the screen when the handheld is not plugged into an A/C adapter. The audio feature will remain activated but you will need to press the VIDEO button if you would like to view the screen display.
