These breast milk collection shells were so easy to put on and use! I was worried that keeping up with a toddler while breast feeding a baby would lead to leaks. Not a single leak!! The design also makes it easy to pour milk out without wasting a drop. The material is high quality, durable and very easy to clean. I did, however, experience discomfort and chafing with the tip of my nipple rubbing on the plastic when worn in a nursing bra. Medela customer service was exceptionally caring and helpful. It seems this is not a common issue and may be the result of having &ldquo;elastic nipples&rdquo;. I highly recommend this product regardless of the discomfort I have experienced. I can still use it a couple of times a day. The convenience of being able to collect milk hands free is amazing! I think I found my holy grail product to protect my precious milk and nipples. I loved the collection shells. They really helped protect my nipples from rubbing again fabrics as they are highly sensitive at this time. I really like that they are small and not very noticeable when wearing them and they look like you&rsquo;re wearing nothing at all. They are very comfortable and did not irritate my skin. I liked using them when I breast fed on one side, as they would catch any milk the other side produced and also during the night (as some nights I would forget to pump and would leak a lot). They definitely helped minimize leakages but at time when bending over, they would leak. The material of the shells are soft and flexible, and feel super comfortable against the skin. I have super sensitive skin and it did not bother my skin at all. They were comfortable to wear in my bra and not noticeable to others. The shape of the shells were not only comfortable but also designed to help pour the milk out so it was easy and spill proof, especially for a very tired mama in the middle of the night who has no coordination. Overall, I would recommend this product to all new mamas who are experiencing a lot of milk and breast feeding mamas who don&rsquo;t want to waste their milk and be more considerate with the environment and replace breast pads. It was really cool to try for collecting let down on the opposite breast during breast feeding. It felt comfortable to have on. And it did a great job at collection. Pouring from the shells to a collection bag was pretty easy. It was super easy to clean after use. One of my favourite features is that since it was able to go on inside my bra I didn&rsquo;t have to worry about my little one kicking it off or it tipping and spilling! Look wise, definitely more noticeable with them on for passive collection and not as discrete. I am currently breastfeeding my second child and the shells are the best milk collector I have tried (and I have tried a few). I have very large breasts so breastfeeding and finding the right equipment for supporting EBF has been a challenge. With my first baby, the milk collectors that I tried just didn't work for me. They were large, didn't fit my breasts and were easily bumped out of place. The Medela Milk Collection Shells are low profile and fit well. I can pop them on at any time under my bra. They don't slip, collect milk well and are low profile. I am especially thankful when breastfeeding overnight. The Shells preserve milk, prevent wet shirts and can't be kicked out of place by my baby. I don't have a huge supply but these Shells have helped me slowly but surely build a freezer stash of milk that would otherwise have gone to waste. I don't tend to leak but I thought these might work while nursing. Beyond that, there was no way I could have worn these all day. If you have a larger cup size they will look like a top hat on a watermelon. The pour spout makes it easy to get every drop out and the fact that you can pull them apart to clean helps you be sure they're properly sanitized. I didn't find them comfy or discreet enough to wear under clothing or all day, but someone with a different body might be able to!
