I had to ask Medela to replace it twice within a month. My first on started to shut off randomly then wouldn't turn on and the second began losing suction. I purchased a pump in style to use as my primary and my freestyle I only use when being portable is necessary. It is a good pump with a gentle get effective suction , and I responded well to it personally. I didn&rsquo;t do much research into which pump to get but I did like how this is marketed as hands-free. I have a few issues with this pump: 1. After not even two months of use, it just randomly shuts off mid pump. This is extremely frustrating. It will not turn back on unless I plug it back in, everytime. 2. The suction has also started to change during the pump when I&rsquo;m not increasing or decreasing the levels. 3. The connection from the tube to the motor is NOT secure so it easily disconnects. This is unfortunate because, being marketed as hands-free, you have to be very careful with it so that it doesn&rsquo;t disconnect. 4. The touch screen would be nice if there was a lock feature. It cannot be turned on even though it was fully charged. I tried to call the 800 hotline but they never picked up the phone and also sent an email still not hearing back from them. I went back to the baby store and they told me the only way is to call that 800 number. Over one month, my milk volume went down to 1 fluid ounce from 4 fl oz. I&rsquo;m about to wean because it&rsquo;s not even worth the one hour I spend pumping at each session. The pump is just not effective or strong enough to draw out the milk. I can hand-express soooo much milk after I&rsquo;m done pumping, which defeats the purpose of the pump! Other features I dislike &mdash; the buttons on the pump are touch-activated, like a smartphone. If I put the pump in my pocket or carry it around on my wrist and it accidentally bumps into something, the pump turns off or switches to the stimulation setting. So I can&rsquo;t even benefit from the hands-free feature because the buttons are so sensitive. I would prefer actual buttons that I have to press. The buttons light up and are too bright. I do some of my pumping at night and I don&rsquo;t need the glare shining in my face. The charge on the battery runs out quickly (after two hours of use). The cups have a rim that is shaped like an accordion and are starting to grow mold in places that I cannot reach to clean. One side is better at drawing out milk than the other. My left side used to be my good boob with more milk than my right, but now I get less milk from that side. I can&rsquo;t believe I spent over $400 CAD on this pump that is now forcing me to wean way earlier than I had hoped. I had to go to the hospital last week and the pump I rented there, I was able to get out 20mls each pump! I used a regular Medela pump the first time and then switched to this hands free pump and have not looked back! I love the flexibility and mobility this pump provides. It makes pumping so much easier to be able to move around and get things done even while pumping. Its very easy to use and I have not noticed any change in output vs. a standard pump.
