I am able to get the same amount of milk as other standard flags electric pumps and even more milk than other popular hands-free pumps! I love how natural the collection cups of this pump look under my shirt when pumping. I primarily utilize it around the house while doing chores but have also been able to feed my 4 month old a bottle while pumping and even wore it out of the house while grocery shopping. I also like how few parts there are to clean compared to other hands free pumps. There are 2 features that I wish were different, which is why I am giving it 4 stars. There is a lanyard at the end of the actual pump, but I wish there was a belt clip or some other device to more easily attach to my pants/shirt. I can place it in the pocket of some pants but it is difficult in others, and it does not tuck into my bra easily. I also find the collection cups are a bit challenging to snap together, and I have had 1 instance of leaking out the bottom because I didn&rsquo;t fully get it closed. Overall I recommend this pump for anyone looking for pump to wear while being more covered yet still wanting to get the same efficiency as the standard electric pumps. The instructions are clear and include pictures making it super easy to set up and connect to the app. It&rsquo;s hands-free and portable so I can do just about anything and go anywhere while wearing it (even though its usually just staying home &amp; cleaning the house). My baby always wants to be held and that isn&rsquo;t a problem while wearing this pump either. I have large breasts and even so, it&rsquo;s not obvious when I have them in. The actual pump is compact, about the size of a thick remote so it fits in my leggings or sweatpants pocket and it&rsquo;s pretty quiet, making for a very discreet pumping session. I love that it&rsquo;s easy to clean, only 6 parts. And that it&rsquo;s dishwasher safe since I mainly breastfeed, I can stick it in the dishwasher between occasional sessions. I get great output from it as well, usually around 4 oz from each breast in 15 mins. My baby went on a nursing strike during my testing period and it was so nice to be able to pump while caring for my kids. It also helped me increase my milk supply which is so huge for a mom who is struggling to keep up her supply. This pump holds 5oz per side, which was more than enough for me as a stay at home mom, but would be great for working moms who depend on pumping to feed their babies. I felt like the suction was just as good if not better than pumps I have previously used. I loved that this pump is so convenient to use and you don't have to hold it. The pump part can just be put in your pocket or carried on your wrist. I did notice that it holds some milk at the pump entrance when I finished, so I just had to be a little careful when taking it off. The pour spout was easy to use as well. I will say that this pump is not as discreet as I imagined and looks a bit bulky under clothes. But it still worked fine for me! I will start by saying this was my first experience with a hands free pump. I had high expectations. I have three children and finding time to sit and pump has proven to be difficult. My newborn also prefers bottles so I&rsquo;m exclusively pumping which takes even more time. The pump itself was easy to set up and use. However, the cups are far thicker than I was anticipating. They are about three inches thick and do not fit in my bra without stretching it out completely. I improvised and ended up wearing my Belly Bandit support band around my top half to keep the cups secured. You could probably also achieve this by wearing a snug fitting seamless cami. I didn&rsquo;t find this pump to be discreet at all. Besides the thick cups, the tubing is still visible and having to change my clothes to pump is kind of annoying. The actual pump is small and convenient but you have to basically wear it around your wrist or on your body to get up and move. I found the vibrations overwhelming at first. I literally couldn&rsquo;t think clearly because it was so distracting. The pumping process felt the same as other pumps to me and I was able to get the same amount of milk as I would have using a traditional pump. I also liked that they included two different sizes of cups to try. The touch screen pump was easy to use except my son kept touching it changing settings and it was really easy to bump while up and moving about. I wish it had a lock feature. I found it almost impossible to use this pump while caring for my newborn. The cups were so large, I wasn&rsquo;t able to pick her up comfortably. I did successfully wash dishes, chop vegetables, and bathe my older kids while pumping, which was a time saver. Though I won&rsquo;t say it was easy keeping the pump from getting wet. I was not able to get the bluetooth working to connect to my phone, not sure why. I can see the app being useful in tracking pumping times and amounts. The best thing about this pump is the small size and portability of the actual pump. I think it&rsquo;s definitely useful having a hands free pump for certain situations but it didn&rsquo;t end up being a silver bullet for me. I was able to use this pump all over the house; while doing dishes, changing laundry, bottle feeding the baby, etc without being plugged into the wall or worrying about the pump leaking when I bent over. I also was able to set up the pump at home and then pump while driving to get my kids from school. The pump pieces are easy to clean and put back together and the motor holds a long charge (I can get 3+ pumping sessions out of it). The pump cups also have a flat bottom so when I take them off I don&rsquo;t have to worry about spilling any liquid gold. I would recommend this pump over and over again. Plus the days of pumping while connected to an outlet are over!!! My first impression when I opened the box was that this hands-free pump looked very simple to use. I have tried other brands that were pretty confusing to use. I usually pump about every 4-5 hours and I typically do it while I'm at home but sometimes I have to pump at work. This pump is quiet enough to be used at work and is pretty discreet. It also fits perfectly into the nursing bras that I already have. I have also used this while driving and while my baby is napping and it is super convenient to have. My favorite feature is the 9 different suction speeds on it. I am able to adjust the speed to my liking and it is very simple to do so. I was able to get out more milk than I did with my plug in pump which was amazing. I did experience a few minor leaks with it but only when I was doing things like bending over or walking too fast. I have other portable pumps, but they do not work for me since the suction is too weak. I also own a few wearable pumps and they also do not work well with my body as the suction is strong but painful and too uncomfortable. So I was impressed and really happy Medela freestyle is compatible with my body. I really like the shape of collection cups. It is weirdly shaped or too bulky like other wearable pumps. They fit into my bra easily and do not make me look like having breast implants. My favorite thing about the cups is there are only 3 parts to wash. As I exclusively pump, I am washing cups all day and night. The fewer parts to wash, the better! It really save me time and work. My biggest issue with this pump is it is a touchscreen, and does NOT lock! If you tap it while you are moving around, it pauses. It is also rather bulky, and does not have a convenient way to attach it to your body. Medela could benefit from creating a silicone sleeve with a pants clip (like the Elvie Stride). Lastly, I am not in love with the new Medela flex connectors. The minimal pieces of the connectors is nice when it comes to reducing dishes. They claim to allow you to recline slightly while pumping, but that is so far from the truth. They are designed the wrong direction to allow for that. I have to sit straight up or lean forward slightly to prevent backflow into my flanges. The material the power button is made of is not durable at all, it peeled up. No liquid has gotten in this time and we haven't left it plugged in aside from charging. I also have the pump in style max flow and was able to express milk as needed but I need something portable because I also have a toddler to chase after. Kinda feel as if I should have purchased the Maxi swing but lesson learned. As far as battery life, it&rsquo;s great. I was using a hospital grade rental previously - Medela Symphony. I am a short person though and wish the pump parts were compatible with the Symphony, which are smaller overall. I have to sit up completely straight with the 5 oz bottles or they are up against my legs. Alternatively (or additionally), the bottles could come shorter and smaller. 3 oz bottles would be perfect because I never pump more than that on one side anyway. And well it&rsquo;s broken now. So needless to say that taught me a lesson that I needed one that I didn&rsquo;t have to be plugged to the wall with and this is it! I went from producing barely 5mls to now 2oz each session which I&rsquo;m still trying to build up but only on day 5 of this process. The suction is great! The portability is the absolute best. The pump it&rsquo;s self weighs practically nothing and I can hang it off my wrist to walk around to get things done. The fact that I can pump and then a couple hours later go onto the app to see the session right there and add how many oz I pumped is spectacular (nevermind all the other things the app can track). Even with it being fully charged I couldn&rsquo;t move around with it because it would just shut off and not come back on unless plugged up. I purchased this pump solely based on the fact that I could move freely around and still be able to pump. It has honestly been an extreme hassle and headache to pump with this product. The suction after awhile was extremely low and I could only pump one side at a time. Now it just died and isn&rsquo;t holding charge even after doing a reset. I thought that my supply had just gone down but actually this pump hardly sucks even on level 9 and was not fully draining my breasts. Today after pumping 25 min with this pump and not able to get any more out, I plugged my old Flex into the wall and got another 3 oz on one side and 1 oz on the other in just 8 minutes. Back to back there is a noticeable difference between the power of the two pumps. I'd say a level 5 or 6 on the old Freestyle Flex is equivalent to a 9 on the new version. I'm going back to the old pump and will just have to plug in. It's unfortunate I dumped money on the new version. I had hoped for the freedom of not plugging in, but it's just not an effective pump.
