Discrete low profile pump
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The Medela breast pump was nice! The pump felt very high quality. I especially liked the light up buttons on the pump so I could pump in the evening. The hands free pump was pretty discrete. The inserts blended in with the shape of my breast. It’s also pretty quiet. I found that the pump wires were a bit annoying my clothes. But that’s a very minor complaint. Overall, I was very pleased with the pump. I was able to use it in the car on a long road trip and I was blown away by the battery life.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pump is a game changer! Before this pump I was constantly tethered to an outlet, now I can be anywhere doing anything while pumping. The pump is completely discreet, you can even attach the pump itself to your pants while around the house. This has made breastfeeding more manageable for me as I'm able to multitask while pumping. The pump has the power in the Medela product line to help get maximum breast milk. I can not recommend this product enough! I wish I had it with my first 2 children. Great for on the go pumping
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little pump for on the go pumping. I loved how compact and portable it was. The cups making it very discreet so you can pump while in the store, restaurants, work, etc. My only critique is that the pump is not strong enough to be used as your main pump, so it is probably better suited for times when you’re not in your home. I received this product from Stellar Panel for an honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this breast pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The pump was amazing. The suction was just as good as a pump you plug in, but allows you so much more freedom. I pumped walking through Disney World. I loved that I didn’t have to waste vacation time tied to an outlet. It is very easy to use, clean, and put back together. It didn’t take up a lot of diaper bag space either. There was absolutely no leaking while pump. The closure snaps with hard plastic, not rubber seals to ensure it always closes tightly. I would definitely recommend to people who have an on the go life style!

Freestyle Hands free Gives Freedom While Pumping
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am breastfeeding my second baby and have used a number of different types of breast pumps over the last few years. I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I am super pleased with the discreteness of the Medela Freestyle Hands-free Double Electric Breast Pump. If I put the tubing under my shirt, it was not very visible and I was able to do video conference calls without anyone knowing I was multi-tasking! I am big busted, probably a 36G right now, and I was able to put the cups right into my regular nursing bra without issue. Other than being discrete and not hooked to a wall, my favorite feature of the Freestyle Hands-free is how few parts there are and how easy it is to clean. It is probably the easiest to clean and put back together of any pump that I have used and it is at least the 5th or 6th pump that I have used so that is saying a lot. I found it easy to get the pump on and aligned, although I do wish the cups were a little clearer to be able to see better. I felt that my milk output with the Freestyle Hands-free was similar to other wearable pumps, which is a little less than what I get if I sit down with a standard pump. I think part of that is that I express more with "hands on" pumping, and the multi-tasking that wearable pumps allow and the shape that covers more of the breast isn't great for hands on pumping. Overall, the freedom the hands-free allows me is worth it to me as I have pretty high and stable supply. Overall, I would highly recommend for mamas looking for a bit more freedom while they pump.

Surprisingly powerful pump
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this breast pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
I was very impressed by the suction that this small and discrete pump provided. I wasn't expecting something rechargeable to have that much power. I have been able to pump as I cook dinner. It is great for a multitasking mom.
I also loved that there were only 3 parts to clean. Such an easy set up, and pretty much impossible to do wrong.
As a larger chested person, I did find the collection cups to be a bit bulky to fit well in a bra. I also found that the hard plastic flanges took some getting used to. It would be nice to have the option of a more flexible flange material to accompany this wonderfully powerful pump.

This pump is life changing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pump is life-changing! I have been using it the last few weeks and have really appreciated how nice it is to be able to move around and not tied to a pump or outlet! It's been especially helpful to have the extra time to wash pump parts or clean up around the house.
Pros:
- It has freed up so much of my time -- not just because I can now multitask more easily while pumping, but it's also much easier to clean and put together/take apart.
- The suction and output have been fantastic. It's even a little more comfortable than my pump provided by insurance.
- I love that it tracks time for me and dings after 15 minutes so even if I'm distracted with other things (baby), I don't go too long.
Cons:
- I always drip a little milk inside my bra when taking it off because a few drops inevitably end up stuck in the flange behind the valve, and it's hard to maneuver it out of my bra without tilting it towards me.
- The cups are just not totally stable like a regular bottle because of being lopsided. I am clumsy and tend to knock over the cups when they're on the counter while I'm trying to pour them in a storage bag or bottle, so I have to take out one at a time and empty it before setting it down to avoid catastrophe.
- It is small and fits in my bra, but not so discreet that I would be comfortable pumping in public. It makes you look several cup sizes larger, and it's also louder than I'd like. But in a loud area with a jacket or sweater, I think it could work!
- I've accidentally hit the buttons while the pump motor is in my pocket, so you have to be careful!
But honestly, even with these cons, it is still 100x better than a regular pump! And it's making my life so much easier. Absolutely worth it. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump, but the review, comments, and experience are all my own.

Medela Freestyle Hands Free
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel for my honest review, and I can honestly say it is a life savior! The components are simple; pump, tubing, flange, cups, and the membrane. All parts are true to the Medela style, simple and easy to clean. The Medela Freestyle Hands-Free is perfect for on-the-go or to use while nursing. I used it while working and it saved me loads of time, not needing to step away to use a conventional pump (if you do not have the hands free pumping bra option). I also enjoyed using it while nursing my 4month old, having the option to use one side only. It is so compact and discrete while being powerful! It comes with 2 sizes of flange (I was able to use the smaller) that are comfortable for all size breasts. The only downfall is it does leak if not properly placed on the nipple or the cups closed completely. Those are things that can be overcome with more practice and use. Overall I am so very thrilled to have received this product and will continue to use it as my go-to pump.

Great hands free pump
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have another brand’s hands free pump and although it’s considered higher end, there are things about the Medela Freestyle I like much better. Due to the design and there being fewer small parts, the ease of getting the milk out of the cups is 10/10. I’m not able to get ALL of the milk out of my more expensive pump without spilling a bit, which is not ideal when you’re on the go. The pump is very easy to use and easy to clean. The only thing I wish was different is how loud the pump is. It’s quieter than my regular pump but definitely louder than my other hands free pump. It’s not a deal breaker, but if you’re looking to have a more private pumping option this may not be it. Overall I’m very happy with this pump! Most Convenient Pump
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m happy to say that Medela is definitely entering the game for hands-free pumps. This pump is surprisingly strong for how small it is. It slips into your bra easily and stays where you put it. My only problems with the pump are that the measurements on the side are very hard to read and when you pour the milk out through the pour spout (which is wonderful btw) some of it tends to spill out through the flange. It seems to trap a bit of milk in the little valve and it isn’t able to get it all the way inside the pump. I’d also love to see Medela add in a clip so that the handheld part could be clipped onto the waistband of pants, etc.
Overall I’m incredibly happy with the pump and will be using it as my main pump from here on out.

Multiple pump owner and one of the best yet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’d like to thank the Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me the opportunity to test this pump for my honest review. I’m going to start off saying I’ve tested a LOT of pumps. I have what I guess are called “elastic” nipples and between that and none of my kids latching well, I’ve exclusively pumped for all 3. My first two I only survived about a month and called it quite because I was tied to a wall. With my third, I wanted to give it my all because I knew he’d be my last. To do that, I KNEW I needed something portable since I have two young kids to tend to on top of a newborn. I immediately bought a portable pump and had it ready. Well, I soon found out it wasn’t emptying me well and I had to mainly stick with my wall pump. Just as I was about to give up AGAIN, I received this pump and immediately I could tell it would lighten my load on washing parts because there are only THREE parts to wash versus my 5 plus that I was doing. Better yet, these cups can be used for the “fridge hack” where other wearables have the motor incorporated and cannot go in the fridge. BONUS! Even LESS amount of time washing! This empties me well, and I’ve pumped while cooking and doing dishes because they are so lightweight since I’m wearing the pump portion on my hip! I’ve also done drives with them in and they are less discreet than other wearables (again, because the pump portion is not on the cups that you wear). Medela has done a great job designing these-the clear cup allows you to align easily and see how full they are. All in all, I think these wearables will further my pump journey and I am forever grateful! It is a great feeling pouring the milk in my pitcher and providing for my baby!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump. This medela pump slides right into your bra & is very discreet! Being bigger chested, it was wonderful to try a product that didn’t add much to my cup size but was effective at pumping the milk.It is very light weight and relatively quiet. I was able to do household chores like folding laundry and loading/unloading the dishwasher. I also used it numerous times while driving or in the car in the school pick up line. My favorite part is that there are only 3 parts to wash and it’s very easy to put back together without having to read the instructions again. Game changer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With both of my children, I became an exclusive pumper after returning to work from maternity leave. Pumping has always been a chore, but a necessary one that I was committed to until they each turned one.
I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was skeptical that a hands free breast pump would work for me. I am not a petite person, so I assumed that the cups inside of my bra would be anything but discreet.
I don’t know how I ever managed without this pump. This is truly a game changer! Even on a large chested woman like myself, the pump is super compact. If you look straight at my chest, you can definitely tell something is under there, but it is discreet enough that I can answer the door, drive, get the mail… all while pumping. When you are pumping 6-8 times a day for at least 15 minutes, that’s a lot of time to be tethered to a machine. I’ve gotten so much freedom back in my day! And not only is it compact, it’s efficient. I’m pumping the same amount per session as I was with my other breast pump, but the suction feels much more natural - more like an actual baby nursing. They even have little spouts for pouring the milk into a storage bottle, since you can’t store the milk in the actual cups (one more step than a normal pump with bottles attached). And cleaning is a breeze with just three parts to wash between sessions.
A few things I don’t like - The pump itself has a touch screen, and I wish there was a way to lock it. Often, I put the pump in my pocket so I can walk around while pumping, and it will pause or stop because the play button gets bumped. Also, I often spill a little when removing the cups, because some milk gets trapped in the center of the flange. I also found that I still need to pump with my regular old machine every other day or so in order to massage and do some hand expression to avoid clogged ducts. If you get clogged ducts often, this pump is prob not for you.
Overall, I love this! I love having some freedom back so I can continue to do what moms do best: multitask. Need to pump AND get dinner on the table? No prob.

Comfortable and Compact
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I am SO GLAD I got to test it out.
This pump is by far, the best pump I’ve ever used. I just had my third baby and I’ve used five other pumps over the years. I would say I am a pretty good judge of pumps. This pump is amazing compared to the other pumps I’ve had.
First, the pump is compact. It fits in my purse and/or diaper bag without taking up much room at all. If taking it on the go, I usually only bring one of the capture/pumping cups with me so it takes up even less space.
Second, it is very comfortable to wear. It isn’t super discreet on me (I’m a 34G right now so it’s obvious when I’m wearing it) but I don’t mind. It fits me really well and the suction is very gentle. I’m pretty sensitive and this pump doesn’t hurt at all. It is so gentle, I have had to ask my husband if he can see milk being pumped into the basin as I couldn’t see it tell! Also, it’s pretty quiet.
I was worried about how much milk the pump would be able to express as I’ve heard that the wearable pumps aren’t as effective. This pump was great at expressing milk. I typically pump for 10-15 minutes on each side and consistently get the same amount that I get when using my other pumps.
I have been able to pump while driving, cleaning up around the house, and folding laundry. It’s been nice not being tethered to the wall or having to hold the pumps in place on my breasts. Having my hands free has been so much more convenient! Even if I don’t need to be mobile, it’s nice to know that I can get up quickly and continue pumping. Especially since I have two older kids that occasionally need me.
Last, the battery lasts a long time. I can probably get five pumping sessions in on a charge and I still have more battery left. I have not let it die completely so I’m not sure what the max number of sessions you can get in one charge is.
All in all, this is my new favorite pump and definitely my go to! I highly recommend it.

Great hands free light weight pump
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pump is extremely light weight and easy to use. I am able to walk around, do dishes, and play with my kids without feeling tied down. I love that it only has 3 parts that makes cleaning super simple and fast and removes the dread of cleaning the pump parts. Compared to other hands free pumps I’ve used, this pump is just as efficient; however, it is less efficient than my standard non-hands free pump. This is something I expected and always consider as a trade off for convenience. I really like that this holds 5 ounces per pump. It also comes with a 21mm and 24mm flange size which I loved! This pump is a “natural shape” but is still quite noticeable as I’m small busted and this increases my cup size quite a bit. Again, this is expected and is a trade off for convenience. Some features I didn’t love was that the pump will melt if you do not hold it above the bottom of the pot of water during sterilization. The parts don’t completely float so you have to watch them the whole time. Unfortunately I did not see my part had touched the bottom and the 24mm melted and was unusable (photo attached). Knowing this now I would buy the sterilization bag instead. I also wish this had a hook for the motor so that I didn’t have to worry about moving it around. Overall I think this is a great pump and offers a lot of positives! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump.

This hands free pump is so convenient. It’s extremely easy to just place in your bra and press “go”. It is so simple to use.
I do feel like it was pretty obvious when I had it in, but that wasn’t of concern for me.
Most importantly, I was able to use this on the go and when chasing around my 2 and 4 year old kids.
The convenience of this pump and the fact that the entire pump itself is so compact has allowed me to live life while I pump, instead of revolving my whole day around when pumping needs to happen. It was a game changer.
My favorite feature on the pump is the amount of (or lack there of) of parts to wash. Pump washing can easily become a full time job and it’s so nice to consolidate them.
A couple cons:
- the digital screen of the pumping mechanism is a bit wonky. Sometimes I can’t get it to select the button I want it to.
- the pump does not fully empty my milk, so therefore isn’t a

Medela Hands Free Pump
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Medela pump has been so helpful for me. I am a stay at home mom to three kids- one being a newborn. Trying to pump before was something that just took time out of my day and would set me behind with my other duties.
This pump fits right into my bra and the motor fits in a pocket of can be stuck on the waistband of yoga pants. I can *literally* pump on the go and do dishes, fold laundry, cook, play with the kids, or even change diapers while pumping.
It is also discreetly quiet and the battery life lasts a loooong time! It comes apart easily and is super easy to clean with minimal parts. It adjusts easily to your comfort level and the two different phalange sizes are a great option.
The only downside is that it can be a little hard to see if you have it lined up properly and how much milk has already been pumped while you're wearing it. Also a carrying case would be helpful, but not necessary I suppose.
Thank you Stellar Panel for sending me a pump that I love to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump.
This is such a great and effective hands free pump. Medela is known for having great breast pumps and I’m so glad they have a hands free option now, it does not disappoint! The pumping cups fit easily in a nursing bra and the pump itself is decently quiet and small, making this a much more discreet process. This pump allowed me to easily care for my baby and my other young children along with doing dishes, laundry, caring for pets and any usual household activities. I also was able to easily pump in the car while running errands. I absolutely loved how easy it is to clean this pump. The membrane and duck bill are one solid piece which is so convenient to clean and works so much better than any pump I’ve had before. There is a loop that you can connect to your nursing bra and although it works, I wish there was a clip or something to connect to your clothing easier for hands free. There is also a touchscreen which is very nice but, it would be nice if there was a locking feature as it easily can get changed or turned off accidentally. Overall, this is a fantastic pump and the best pump I’ve used in general and highly recommend.

Great pump for on the go
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela Freestyle Hands-free Double Electric Breast Pump is so easy to use, and convenient for when you need to move and do other things while pumping. The pump is great and effective, and had no problems getting my normal amount of expressed milk. My only issue was the 24mm flange felt a little smaller, so sometimes my pumping sessions can be a little difficult if I don't get my nipple just right.
The discreet way of pumping is awesome. I've driven while wearing it, answered the door, taken work calls, and no one ever knows. The motor is quiet, and the cups and tubing aren't as noticeable as you may think. This pump is great for women on the go. I am able to use the pump wherever I want, just need to be cautious to not bump the touch pad on the motor, as it is very sensitive and can easily be paused or have a setting changed.
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump. I am able to continue on with my life, do dishes, care for my toddler and infant, drive, go for a walk, and so much more with this amazing hands free pump. My favorite feature is the hands free, easy pumping that gives me the freedom I need to to continue with my day without losing precious time.

A hands free pump is a must
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to try out the Medela Freestyle Hands-free Double Electric Breast Pump through the Stellar Testing Panel. I had previously been using a similar type of pump so was excited to see how they compared and I am happy to say the Medela Hands-Free pump met my expectations and then some. I really liked the display on the pump itself. My previous pump did not display the time elapsed on the screen so this was a nice feature for me. I do wish that there was a clip on the pump rather than a strap which would have made it easier and more comfortable to move around. The cups were comfortable and loved that there were minimal parts to clean. I also was very pleasantly surprised that they had a flat bottom to stand them up as my previous cups just had to lay flat. The holes at the top make pouring your milk very easy, however you just need to be very careful to not bend over too much or it would spill out. I was able to get about the same output as I had with previous wearable pumps. Overall I definitely recommend this pump over other wearable options.

Freedom to move
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Medela Freestyle Hands-free Double Electric Breast Pump through the Stellar product review panel. It’s my second hands free double electric breast pump and I use a pump at least once every day. I have 3 kids under 3 and do not have time to spare with a traditional pump.
Pros:
The Medela is simple - just 3 parts per pump to wash and clean. It was very easy to put together and begin using. I pump every morning and with this pump I was able to get my two toddlers ready for daycare and out the door. There were a handful of times where I pumped on the road and that was easy to do with this pump. They have a flat bottom which made it easy to set them down while preparing to transfer to a bottle or bag. When emptying them it’s easy to get all the milk out, which is an issue with my other brand of in-bra pump. The charge lasts for quite a while and I didn’t have to charge after every pump session. I like the design of the motor and it displays the time pumped. I found this convenient when I wanted to know how long I had been pumping but didn’t want to go to my phone and pull up the app and wait for it to sync.
Cons:
When taking the pumps off, the milk almost always leaks from the opening where it’s collected. It seems to stay there before falling into the pump so every time I took my pumps off I had to be careful to hold them at an angle so they didn’t leak. Additionally, the hole where you empty the milk from is always open and while I don’t think I had a leaking problem at that opening, I can easily see it easily becoming an issue if you’re moving around enough that milk sloshes up the side. I have large breasts and there were a few times that the cup moved a bit and milk leaked from the bottom. I also found myself really wanting a clothes clip or something that would make it easy to attach the motor to clothes - otherwise you’re stuck having to wear clothes with pockets in order to not have to carry the motor around. The buttons on the motor are flat and integrated and if the motor got turned around in my pocket my thigh alone would often press a button.
The motor malfunctioned when I first used it, but I’ve used it a dozen+ times since and it hasn’t happened again. Just this morning I couldn’t get any suction to come through and while I’m sure it is a user error, I’m glad I had a backup pump to relieve my painful engorgement.
Futuristically, I would love for a company to figure out how to accurately sense volume pumped and log that automatically. I’d also love a bigger capacity cup.
All in all, I really liked the Medela Freestyle Hands-free Double Electric Breast Pump. I found myself reaching for it more than my current pump as it seemed to do a more efficient job at removing milk. I’m going back to work soon and confident about keeping my milk supply up with the convenience of this pump. I will never go back to a pump where I’m tied to the wall.

Comfortable and Easy to Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this pump to review as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
So far for all of my children, I have pumped for 2 years and 9 months and have used five other pumps over the years. This is by far the most comfortable pump in terms of the flanges and where the pump touches skin. The flanges have perfectly designed contours that both prevent too much tissue from being pulled into the tunnel and prevent any sort of pinching pain, unlike traditional flanges that have a corner at the base of the nipple.
Setting up the pump was a bit daunting at first. The instruction manual is huge, but it has a bunch of translations in it. There is a handy, image based quick start guide that clearly lays out where and how to plug everything together and it's only three things. Setting up and getting started the first time was very easy.
I work remotely most days so having this portable pump allowed me freedom to move about the house while pumping, unlike my other pumps that tether me to a wall slash force me to sit the entire time. I mostly used these powers to cook while pumping. The tubing is a little bit short and a little stiffer than my other pumps and I couldn't fit the pill shaped pump inside my pants pocket while walking around. So, I put the pump inside my pumping bra between my boobs.
The only item I had trouble with was getting the app to recognize when I was pumping. I really wanted to use the milk log feature in the app but couldn't figure it out. I think the real reason I couldn't get this to work is because of my workplace's security software on my phone.
The milk collection cups are generously sized, easy to assemble, easy to take a part, easy to clean. It was very easy to get every last drop of milk out of the cups.
Overall, out of all six pumps I have used now, this is by far my favorite one. It's small, portable, very comfortable, has ample milk collection, the pump charge lasts a long time, and it's easy to clean. Thank you so much for the opportunity to review this product.

Convenient and easy pump
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The convenience of this pump is top notch. With only three pieces per side, I don’t think you can get much more convenient when it comes to washing this pump. Being able to wear this pump has changed my morning routine for the better! I slide the cups in place, push start, and carry on getting the kids and myself ready for the day. On the extra hectic mornings, I love that it makes a noise at fifteen minutes and automatically shuts off after thirty minutes. The pump is super easy to use and to find the right settings. The touch screen is highly responsive, so try not to bump it. I have a pretty large chest anyway, so it is definitely noticeable when I wear the pump. I primarily wear it around the house when I need to multitask while pumping. I can get all the kids, the dog, and myself ready while wearing it. It will spill/leak, but being aware of how far I’m bending over fixed that issue. This picture was taken after twenty minutes of pumping, so I’m pretty happy with the performance of the pump! Decent option for hands free pump
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel after using a different hands-free pump for the last couple of months. This pump was okay, but not my favorite option for a few reasons. Firstly, and most importantly, I felt this pump was very loud compared to others I’ve used and the whole thing vibrated a lot when it was on. Because of this, the pump wasn’t very discreet and I couldn’t use it at work the same way I’ve used others in the past because it would be VERY obvious I was pumping. The pump motor came with a string attached that could go around your wrist but this also made it hard to do certain tasks like wash dishes or fold laundry - I think it would be more useful to have some sort of a clip to attach to my waistband to really free up both hands/arms. The last thing that I didn’t love about this pump was that my output was inconsistent. Sometimes I’d pump and get a lot of milk and others I would put it on, think I was pumping only to check 10 minutes later to find almost no milk expressed. I do wish the pump came with a larger breast shield option. The 24mm worked okay (it also came with 21mm) but I usually use 28mm and wonder if I would have had better output if I had a better fitting shield. Overall I think there is some room for improvement.
All of that being said, there were some pros to the pump compared to others I’ve used. The capacity in the collection cups is really great and it held a lot more than my other pumps (5+ ounces). If you are someone who has a high supply this could really benefit you because other brands I’ve tried tend to shut off once you’ve pumped about 3-4 ounces. It also has a small hole at the top of the collection cup that allows you to very easily pour milk into bags which was nice (but be careful, the holes don’t close up at all so if you bend over at all when wearing this you’ll lose most of your milk). The cups were very lightweight and only consisted of a few parts so washing and assembly were easy.
Overall, this pump is okay and will get the job done so if you’re looking for a hands free/wearable pump without paying top dollar this would be a decent option, but I’d just consider the limitations mentioned above prior to investing in it.

Overall disappointing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited for Medela to utilize current technology and put out their version of a wearable “hands free” pump.
I received the Medela Freestyle Hands-Free Double Electric Breast Pump from Stellar in exchange for an honest review.
I wish I had a different experience, but overall, I am very disappointed. Medela really had the chance to make something to stand out on the market, but this product misses the mark.
First of all, this is not Hands-Free. While the cups may fit inside your bra, there is long tubing that connects to the motor to the flanges, and the motor doesn’t have a strap to wear it around your neck or even a basic clip to wear it on your waist.
Next, the cups do not look the least bit “natural” under clothing. They stick out very far, and if the extremely loud sound wasn’t attention-grabbing enough, the look of your oddly shaped chest will be. I appreciate that each cup holds 5oz, but I think it would be quite a bit far fetched to recommend this pump as something you could wear at work while caring for patients, talking to clients, etc.
One big plus is that each side only has 3 pieces. 2 clear pieces snap together to make the flanges, and instead of a tiny membrane, each side has a larger yellow membrane that makes them easier to keep track of while washing. Cup assembly is intuitive, and washing is simple. No tiny crevices to clean with teeny brushes.
Medela advertises their cups as being clear so you can see what’s going on while pumping, but when you’re wearing them, the cups aren’t really transparent.
Just like most wearable pumps on the market, you won’t get as much output as you would from a freestanding pump, but I expected as much.
I found the cups to be lightweight, but it was just so awkward with the separate motor that had no where to go.
I would not let a good friend purchase this - yes it has a lower price point than other wearables, but it’s a big sacrifice as far as bulk, noise level, output, and trying to discretely wear the cups in public.
* It’s worth mentioning that this pump is now available to buy, yet you can’t buy spare parts, different sized flanges, etc. For those who like a set of parts for home and work, or a few sets to cycle through while the others are washing, even those who need a small or large flange size… So incredibly inconvenient. I sure hope Medela gets within it and releases these items soon.

Lightweight wearable pump for moms to multitask
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to see that Medela created a hands-free pump! My go-to breast pump has always been Medela brand, so a breast pump that is not only Medela but is also hands-free was just icing on the cake! I had extra time I could play with the kids or do housework rather than needing to sit on the couch to pump.
I have never used a hands-free pump that fits inside your bra before, so in that respect I can't compare, but I can tell you that I was impressed! This compact machine is powerful and effective. The containers hold at least 5 ounces, so you don't have to compromise how much you can pump. Additionally there seemed to be fewer parts (only three each) for me to clean compared to previous Medela pumps - a huge plus in my book! The ease of cleaning was definitely my favorite feature (other than being hands-free of course).
I found the pump to be comfortable, however it is not as discreet as I had hoped. The collection cups are rather large and obvious. I also am concerned they may stretch out the bra.
Despite the less discreet look, I felt very comfortable wearing the pump around the house and multitasking.
Thank you to Stellar Panel for gifting me with this breast pump.

Way to Go Medela
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! This pump exceeded my expectations for a wearable pump. Way to go, Medela. It was easy to get started using right out of the box. It charges fairly quickly, which made it nice for getting started and for day-to-day use. It was way more effective than my other wearable pump, which was a pleasant surprise. The fact that I didn't have to get used to the pump in order to get good output was awesome and not super common for wearable pumps. The size was pretty on-par with other wearable pumps, so no complaints there. I like the lanyard for the motor--it was better than the clip that my other pump has. I am able to use it pretty much anywhere and at any time, as long as I don't bend over (which is what I expect). The motor is a smidge louder than my other pump, but not enough to be self-conscience of it. As a mom to newborn twins this pump has really been amazing and has exceeded the expectations that had been set with my other wearable pump. One of my favorite features is the minimal parts for cleaning. I don't have much time on my hands, so the fewer parts to clean, the better. My other favorite feature is that I can use it while it's plugged in. This may seem like a small feature, but my other wearable pump (which is a popular brand) cannot be used while it is charging. Again, I have newborn twins, which means that I am sleep deprived to the next level, and remembering to charge the pump isn't always easy, so being able to use it while plugged in is *amazing*. My only complaint is that there are some confusing instructions regarding the tubing. The manual says that if there's condensation, you can wash and dry the tubing, but an insert says not to clean or rinse the tubing under any circumstance. Not really sure why there are contradictory instructions, but I plan to just default to new tubing if condensation occurs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive this pump as I am an exclusive pumper. The pump is lightweight and easy to use and I thought the instructions were pretty straightforward. I appreciated how small this pump is which makes it easy to use on the go. I was nervous about doing activities, while pumping for the risk of spilling now, but was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t. For me this meant that I can multitask, which makes a difference for moms with little ones. This was my first time trying a hands-free pump and the suction overall was great. I did notice a slight decline in output, but I think it could be attributed to the flange size. Either way the decline was relatively small and I just made up by pumping a little longer. I’d be interested to test a larger size if it’s an option.

Little Pump with a Big Punch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have exclusively breast fed twins so I am frequently feeding a baby. I also have a bit of an oversupply so I use a pump a few times a week when the babies sleep a little longer than expected. This pump is easy to put on for a quick and effective pump session before they wake up. It’s super easy to wash after using too!
I had the unfortunate experience of an older family member unexpectedly in the hospital and this pump allowed me to be around for his last days and with family as needed after. It was so easy to carry in my purse and I was able to use it while sitting bedside. I could not be more thankful for this pump during this time!
My only real request would be a way to use it as a single pump rather than needing to be a double pump. I have one twin that sleeps through the night and one that does not. It would be nice to be able to pump one side while one twin is eating on it he other side.
I received this pump through Stellar Product Testing Panel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I received a free early trial of the Medela Freestyle Hands-free Double Electric Breast Pump from Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for an honest review.
I have been using this pump for about 2 weeks in addition to my more traditional breast pump for comparison. My baby is 1 month old today and I am very happy to be trying this breast pump out. I really like this pump and think it is comfortable. It fits easily in my nursing bra (that is kind of stretchy). The plastic is just slightly foggy so it can be hard to tell if the nipple is properly aligned and as it fogs up even more during use, it can be hard to tell exactly how much milk has collected before taking it off. In my picture, you can see after pumping how quite a bit of milk stays in the outside bit, not in the collection cup. It isn't that much, but I have spilled it multiple times trying to set the cup down or pick it up to pour into a bottle or freeze bag. You also need to make sure the pieces are very snapped together very well or else it will leak during use.
It is easy to walk around when using we've been discussing how discreet it actually is. I don't think you could be sitting in a meeting and other people not know what's going on, but it is much better than a more traditional breast pump. My husband thinks you could use it walking around a grocery store and someone might just think you're using an oxygen concentrator. I get nervous putting the actual pump part in a pocket as I think a button will get hit.
This sounds a bit weird, but I kind of like that it doesn't empty my breasts as much as my other pump. It does both at the same time at the same settings. With my other pump, I do one at a time and squeeze with my hands to get every drop out, but I can't do that with both of these going. That way, even after pumping, I can still breastfeed my baby soon after. The suction use certainly strong enough and I don't even use it on the strongest setting.
Since I was using this as an early trial, I was provided sizes 21 and 24 mm, but I think I would have been much more comfortable with a 28 or 32mm size. I am glad to see this released as a product as I will likely want to purchase additional pumping accessory parts when these loosen up and wear out. Hopefully I can get some in a larger size too.
Overall, I do enjoy using this in my breast pump rotation. I can use my hands, there aren't many parts to clean and it's fairly comfortable. The different pumping cycles are convenient and I can move around when using it. I would recommend this breast pump if these features are attractive to you.
