The shape is a bit better suited. At least that was our experience. Also, the curvature helps to stabalize the sucking, if you want to call it that. One thing i noticed was, compared to other ones, our baby did not spit it out in a minute. The ventilation system is also good. We were worried that, our baby would not breastfeed later properly or the gums would be an issue, but after using it for three weeks or so, we do not see our baby becoming too relaint on it, not always wanting to chew or suck on it. We use it moderately only if crying is continous and we cannot soothe quickly. He has not particularly enjoyed any pacifier we have tried, however this one seemed the most promising as he is getting a little older and stronger. I really liked the soft and flattened nipple. It was easy for him to initially latch on to and didn't cause any confusion or resistance to the real thing since we breastfeed 90% of the time. It also didn't seem like he needed as much suction strength to keep it in his mouth, which compared to others was a nice improvement. Overall, I believe this is a great product and we will definitely try again in a few weeks or so as he continues growing. My baby didn&rsquo;t experience any noticeable nipple confusion and latching during feedings remained consistent. That&rsquo;s something I was really concerned about in the beginning, but this pacifier worked well. It fits comfortably against my baby&rsquo;s face without leaving red marks or causing irritation. What I liked most was how easily my newborn took to it. Some pacifiers we&rsquo;ve tried were either too firm or just didn&rsquo;t stay in, but this one seemed to be the perfect balance. It also feels high quality and easy to clean. I would absolutely recommend this pacifier to a friend especially for breastfeeding parents looking for a safe and soothing option that doesn&rsquo;t interfere with nursing.
