For an infant , mattress should be on the highest setting. As the baby grows , you can lower the mattress to the middle level and then the lowest level. Please note while converting the crib to a toddler bed, mattress height should be adjusted to the lowest level. To adjust the levels, please remove the 4 bolts where the mattress spring is attached to, lower the mattress and tighten the bolts again.
