For the rest of us... 1. Even when it is in the unlocked position it can still prevent the door from being opened on the other side. The device prevents the opposing handle (at least ours) from fully turning to disengaged the door latch. Be sure you're not on the other side of it when you're home alone. 2. After working for about 45 mins to remove it I'm taking a break to write this review. I'm maybe half done getting the adhesive residue off the door. I'm using goof off and serious elbow grease and it is proving daunting. So just plan on never removing it. Or don't put it on a nice door. Other than that it works.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2017-08-06</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2017-08-06" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="93966542"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">WiseKids</span> from <span itemprop="name">Works great on our doors</span> <span itemprop="description">I bought 2 of these about a month ago and we placed them on a bathroom door and the outside of our toddler's bedroom door. They were really easy to install, haven't come off (which I see is a complaint of some other reviews), and are simple to use. The only humorous part about the description on the box is that it says they have a sleek design so that they blend in well with your home decor. Um...no. They don't! They are kind of big and ugly and stick out. But they have worked really well and my 20-month old has yet to figure out how to get a door open yet and he hasn't ripped one off (another complaint in some of the reviews). The only thing I can't comment on yet is how easy/hard they will be to take off when we are done with them and if they will ruin the finish on our white doors. But otherwise we are very happy with the product.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2017-05-09</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2017-05-09" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="118671160"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">Mama of 2</span> from <span itemprop="name">Great product</span> <span itemprop="description">We have a lever handle to our basement and our 2.5 year old figured out how to lock it-- NOT cool when you're downstairs and he beats you upstairs. We tried this product and while it doesn't help with the locking part, he has left it alone now because of the lock. We showed him that only Mommy and Daddy lock it and it seems to be working. It was easy to install and it's been useful. It took awhile to get used to the thought that red = open and green = locked, but we are used to it now!</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2017-04-03</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2017-04-03" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="118671161"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">Brit901</span> from <span itemprop="name">Easy to use</span> <span itemprop="description">Great way to keep my very active toddler from being able to run outside while I cook or do laundry.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2017-03-30</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2017-03-30" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="118671162"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">Robert+McMullen</span> from <span itemprop="name">SEcure Fist</span> <span itemprop="description">Useful for Child saftey when protecting unorganized areas and gates locling</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2017-03-16</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2017-03-16" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="118671163"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">3</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">EllieW</span> from <span itemprop="name">Eh.</span> <span itemprop="description">I installed it on my bedroom door, following the directions to the t, including the super cleaning.
