Seemed fine at first. But when I would have the app open at night after a couple hours it would crash. Every time. I sleep on a different floor than my baby and needed the monitor open all night to know when he wakes up. This has been very frustrating. The camera is mounted on a wall with plenty of ventilation but still heats up pretty warm, and loses WiFi connection. 3/4 times I try to open the camera on the app it doesn't work. At this point I'm looking for a replacement. And would not recommend this camera to anyone. I also find it very annoying that the only way to view this camera is through the terrible app. Nearly every other WiFi camera has an Rtsp feed that I can view separately from the app, which would be far more reliable as it's direct from the camera and not internet reliant. A baby monitor should always have a local option. I did not receive this camera for free. I am not just trying the camera out. I bought 2 of these when my son was born. I struggled keeping it connected to wi-fi regardless of where I had it in my house. I even tried it at my work and my in-laws, neither of which were successful experiences. When I was able to access the app, the video quality wasn't any better than what my current monitor provides. I did like that the camera itself is relatively small and discreet. Initially had some connectivity issues, but customer support was very helpful troubleshooting. You need to use 2.4 GHz network and make sure that your 2.4 and 5 GHz networks have different names. Pros :Cute, good looking monitor. Very lightweight and easy to travel with. I like being able to use my phone for the video feed. I like that I can check in on baby even when I'm not home and grandma is watching her. The safety first app is also pretty good and I LOVE that it runs in the background and sends you notifications if there's sound or movement so that you don't have to constantly check the video feed. Cons : reliability is highly dependent on your wifi speed and capabilities. This is true with all wifi monitors of course, but I find myself feeling anxious and it really throws you for a loop if your internet goes out and you can't see baby. I love the modern design of the monitor and how it blends in seamlessly with my child's nursery. It will flow with any modern clean white nursery. Also the set up was a breeze and it was easy to connect additional users to the app. However actually using the app needs improvement. Every time I log in it takes multiple attempts to get it to connect, and navigating the interface of the app takes time. Also the extra monthly charges of being able to access footage on thr cloud seems a bit excessive for thr monitor. It is portable and light to carry when traveling. I do appreciate being able to see my child on the phone. Its sensitivity to sounds prevents me from using my sound machine, which is something I don't like. Since we live in an apartment, it is not a big deal, but if you own a house, it is something to consider. I like that a family member can access the monitor while babysitting and that the app is user-friendly. Although I had some trouble setting up the monitor, customer service was able to help.
