It is extremely plush and soft on the lamb head (made of minkey material that babies love). The handle is made of flannel like material and is soft stuffed material that is easy to hold. The rattle noise is also soft but engaging. What I mean by this the noise stimulates the child but doesn&rsquo;t drive the parents crazy. My only concern is that the lamb is stark white, I&rsquo;m not sure how well this item will hold up long term but so far it washes easily. It also comes with 3 tags on it, one is very long and 2 are rough. The texture of it is pretty soft and easy to handle. My son likes to grab it and bite on it. He likes the little sheep, specially he bites on the little head. The overall material is soft. Initially I had a little bit of shedding with the hair but after washing it and trying to pull on it there was no more shedding. I find this rattle slightly large for infants. It's about the size of my hand and I actually have hands on the larger side (see photo). The rattle sound is soft and not obnoxious at all. Overall I like this rattle for my little one and he seems to love shaking it too. Its really soft and easy for my baby to grab it. Its not too noisy but my baby can still hear it and loves the little soft noise it makes. The handle its the perfect size for my baby to grab it without problems. The only bad feature about it, its that you have to spot clean and can't submerge but most of this types of toys are like that.
