Fire hazard</span> <span itemprop="description">After 5 months of use (Which we loved) the clock suddenly stopped working correctly for some reason. I was going to fix it and leave it for nap time but it wasn't an easy fix. I had to replace the batteries and after doing so, the clock went blank and wouldn't work. The light went on but wouldn't go off or change color. Then I set it down but I'm lucky I stayed near it because then i smelled melting plastic!! It was the clock. I quickly had to try to unscrew the batteries as I was also trying to get outside before it went aflame. I was able to get the batteries out in time. I can't imagine if this was in my sons room when it happened while he was napping. This is dangerous. This is a fire hazard. My son and I were both so excited for this light. If it worked the way it is supposed to then it would be perfect but unfortunately it&rsquo;s not. I&rsquo;ve spent way too long on this item for it not to work. The red light won&rsquo;t stay on at night while music is playing which it&rsquo;s supposed to. You can have 1 or the other it seems. I&rsquo;ve changed my song option 10x to lullaby and it won&rsquo;t stay on that music, it&rsquo;ll change to the rain sound 5 seconds later. The sounds are nice, and it would work great as a daily alarm clock for children. I purchased this products with the intention to help let my child know when it was still considered &quot;night time&quot; (As it gets brighter in the summer, they tend to wake up as the sun rises - not ideal) I was disappointed with how the clock is programmed to sleep train a toddler. I was hoping the clock would glow red all night, then as it got closer to wake-up time, it would glow yellow, then when it was time to wake-up, it would turn green. This way, even though the sun could be rising at 5:30, they would know that it's not time to get up yet. The clock only turns yellow within 10 minutes of the time set for your toddler to wake up, and green at the set time. This means, if your child wakes up a half hour before the time you set, the clock won't be glowing, and they will likely (like my child did) just get out of bed because there's no formal cue to stay in bed.
