<span itemprop="description">We ordered this desk for our child. As we assembled the desk, following the directions carefully, several things happened that made the desk unusable. The holes for the screws split the wood when you put the screws into the proper locations. There was nowhere to secure the top of the desk. The cabinet door would not stay on the desk. After 3 hours, the desk was unusable and had to be thrown away.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My 6 year old loves this desk. Purchased for distance learning as she’d outgrown her little kid table. Hope to get 2 years out of it before it will be way too small. It fits well in the small area we have for her. She loves the drawer, cubby shelves, and little magnetic white board. It is small and not configured quite right for her chrome book, which makes sense as how many 5-7 year olds would be expected to work with a laptop on their desk under non Pandemic times! I did assemble it myself - took a few hours and the top was a bit tricky. Only real gripe is the chair. Ours was ok for about 2 months then the dowel connecting the back support to the frame and seat broke, while my kiddo was in class! She fell on the floor and had to try to make do with it broken for the rest of the school day. Kidkraft, make a better chair!!!!!.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The desk is wonderful perfect size for my small 7 year old. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because of the horrible off gassing. It’s been in my daughters room for a few weeks and if all the doors are closed I walk in and still smell it. So if I had known it was toxic I would not have purchased it. However we are in a pandemic doing school at home and I need a small desk. This is wonderful except that. Also the chair is not wood which was disappointing to me but not surprising considering very little is made from actual wood these days. The desk is also not made of wood but it is very sturdy and easy to clean.</span>

<span itemprop="description">We got two of these desks for our girls to do virtual classes at home this fall. The girls are 5 & 6 year old, and they love the desks! Perfect size for them with a few years to grow.
The quality of certain parts is, however an issue. The bottom left leg of both desks is not attaching properly and popped off. We’ll have to contact Kidcraft to see if we can get replacements. I think I will use wood glue to secure all the legs to make them sturdier.
I do wish they would use better quality materials. Either way, the girls adore the desks and are excited for doing school at home.</span>
