When finding out what was going on, we discovered how cheaply made it is and the button is simply toggled onto a foam piece BALANCING just underneath it. When I tried to get a replacement from the company, they came back with &quot;warranty not covered under accidental damages&quot; -- they can call this anything and not cover your product. My baby is 6 months old and this so unprofessional and horrible service. This monitor is going to a landfill and I am stuck with the still-working camera and no way to get a replacement monitor. This is so ridiculous! Other problems: the battery life is 4 to 5 hours ONLY. The picture quality randomly BLURS and will just stay that way until may be the next use. Night vision is not night vision -- you can see your baby but it might blur or it is so basic that you cannot see any detail anyway. This was never HD. When the battery is low it beeps really loudly until plugged in. The camera sometimes needs to focus and until it does, it makes a loud repetitious clicking sound as it focuses. Uou cant change tbe setting. It also gets very hot as well is very heavy. Not nearly as good as the other units in the past. The picture quality was awesome both the day and night. Now it makes a loud click when it goes between night vision and day tome and I can barely make out my daughters face at all at night. I couldn&rsquo;t wait to try it out and check out everything it had to offer. I am happy to say that I am very pleased with it. I have three sons (5 years, 3 years, and 10 months old) and this monitor has been extremely helpful! Set up was so simple! The camera and the monitor unit are already paired. So all it took was plugging everything in where I wanted it and turning it on. Could not have been easier and clips were included to secure the camera wiring out of reach. The video quality is wonderful! I love that it is in color during the day and how great the picture quality remains during the night. The picture is very smooth and doesn&rsquo;t glitch at all. The zoom feature is nice to have, but my favorite part is panning the view of the room. I can easily check on all my sons when they are sleeping or while they play. The monitor itself has some great features. It holds it charge nicely and I love the light feature that changes colors depending on the volume of the noice in the room. It is perfect if you can&rsquo;t have the volume of the monitor turned up. The indicator that displays the rooms temp is nice to have. Lastly, I don&rsquo;t know who enjoys the two way talk feature more, my sons or me! It has come in handy many times. It is nice and clear and easy to use. So convenient! I am very happy with the Pure HD 4.5 Inch High Definition Color Video Monitor. I definitely recommend this video monitor. Their beds are across the room from each other and this camera is mounted up on the wall in the middle (over the closet). One is almost a year old and the other one is two, and my favorite feature is being able to move the camera without having to step foot in their room! My two year old loves playing and throwing everything in her crib onto her floor either before she falls asleep or when she wakes up, so now if I heat her making any noise, I can turn the monitor on to see what she&rsquo;s doing, and talk to her through it and she&rsquo;ll stop and lay down! I love being able to not only hear when one of them wakes up, but being able to see which one it is, and watch to see if they&rsquo;re going to fall back asleep or if they&rsquo;re standing up and needing me. My one year old loves the music, which I can also turn on through the monitor and switch to different music or white noise. It only plays for twenty minutes, which is one reason I gave it four stars.. I wish you could change the length of time, or give you the option to keep it on all night. I also love the led lights on the side that show you the intensity of the noises coming from their room. This allows me to keep the volume turned down a little lower when they&rsquo;re falling asleep but see if one of them is just quietly babbling, or if something is wrong and one of them is fully crying. I also love that it can be charged and then unplugged and taken into a different room with you. This is very convenient and is so much easier than having multiple sets of monitors all in different rooms of the house. I&rsquo;m able to carry this one into the kitchen, or in the bathroom while I&rsquo;m taking a shower, or anywhere. It&rsquo;s so handy! The only downside I have with this is that the battery in mine does not last all night. After a few hours it is beeping and needs to be plugged in. The range has been fantastic, I can put my kids down for a nap and work anywhere in the house or even step out to the garage. I have twin 2.5 year olds, and like the option of pairing multiple cameras to the same head unit. The only downfall with the monitor, opposed to other Summer monitors I've owned in the past is this monitor has digital image steering and does not actually move the camera itself. This hasn't posed a problem so far, as I mount the camera to the wall, facing my child's bed, and don't need to move it. It just takes a little longer to set up initially opposed to a monitor that physically moves. My favorite part about the monitor is it has built in white noise and lullabies. I have a white noise machine I use in the kids room to block out noise from other rooms. Prior to owning this monitor I would bring that white noise machine on vacation with us.
