My little guy is nine months old &amp; we are always on the go. I love that the mat is oversized and has so many activity pieces. The mirror does detach from the rest of the mat. The mat is soft &amp; cushy &amp; the forest animals on it are really cute. I love it for her because it keeps her really engaged in one spot. So even as she is crawling and on-the-move, this keeps her put for a while if I need to get some things done. It's really cute, the colors are bright, and my little lady loves looking at herself in the attached mirror. The mat is also huge. I have always been a fan of mats for babies so it's something I have experience with and certainly opinions on. I think this product combines features and options better than perhaps anyone I've used before. First of all it's a comfortable mat which provides cushioning, allowing it to be used on any surface, which others definitely don't have. The activities and so forth on it are things that definitely engage my child and I appreciate that. I also like the size of it... Again allowing you to be more versatile and useful in many ways and areas. And while I haven't had this for a huge amount of time, it is held up extremely well and is very easy to spot clean and so forth. Before receiving this we would have to put multiple blankets down to cushion the ground a little bit (we have hard wood floors), but this is the only one we need now! I was expecting a bit more activities, but I like that there are spots to add some of your own toys. The first day we used this my daughter threw up and peed on it; I think it was her stamp of approval. It was very easy to wash and hang dry. I was wrong! I use this thing so often! We have taken it out in the car so much I just keep it there now. It folds up and has a handy button and carrying handle. Folds up pretty small for how large this is. It is big enough that baby can play with myself and big brother all on the mat. The built in mirror and &quot;toys&quot; make this mat interactive too. It is padded so the little falls and ground under the mat are barely noticeable. I love it! I have recommended my mom friends get this mat for their littles. I see it being useful through toddler years as well. Just can't say enough about this mat.
