My wife and I had tried just about every type of pacifier, but they all had the same problem: Our son's upper lip would be covered in 'crusties.' Our son is teething really aggressively right now, and is drooling a ton because of the that. When the drool dries, it annoys him at the base of his nose. There is nothing worse that finally getting a teething baby to fall asleep, only to have him wake up because of uncomfortable dried drool. We can understand him needing to be soothed when he is in pain from the teeth pushing through his gums, but dried drool seems really annoying when it ruins our night. The Philips Avent Ultra Air Pacifier stopped the crusties because of the 'vents' in the pacifier plate. It seems simple, but putting a few air holes in the plate that covers his lips gave enough air to his upper lip to allow the crusties to dry more normally. These pacifiers did help keep my little one&rsquo;s skin drier! I&rsquo;m only giving it 4 stars because my triplets didn&rsquo;t take to them well. The design seems to be better than it&rsquo;s predecessor especially for preemies. The carrying case was super convenient for keeping these pacifiers clean! These pacifiers are super cute. They would make a great baby shower gift. I love that they come in a reusable container to store them in. No more plastic baggies to keep the pacifiers clean in the diaper bag. The container doubles as a sterilizer. put the pacifiers in, add water, microwave then pour out the water. It's very convienent. I wasn&rsquo;t sure I was quite ready for mayhem of introducing a new option to the mix. With the Phillips Avent Ultra Air we are still tracking 100% accepted. 100% baby approved. 100% momma contented. Joy-o-joys, hallelujah! We are BIG fans of the washability and ease of attaching the paci to tethers for ease of finding. Thankfully I had these pacifiers with me. She loved them and sucked on them for hours. They made a sick baby very happy. They are lightweight and stay in her mouth well. Also her cheeks stayed fairly dry of drool. The case was important to have to sterilize on the go in the microwave. I recommend this anyway. Other baby products I usually wash in a hot soapy bin of water. This is not a good idea with these pacifiers because water and soap enter the nipple and I'm unable to dry or rinse them. Otherwise I like the pacifiers very much. Lastly I like the colors of the packs I got. They had an orange and a purple pacifier. Most baby girl products are just pink and purple so the orange is a fun choice! They felt soft but provided safe structure along with a soothing nipple for infants. Air flow, suction, comfort all wonderful. I felt my child's skin on as indeed drier in that I didn't notice any excessive drooling when using these pacifiers. My child loves the colors and I loved the subtle design details. The carrying case is by far the best perk especially with keeping things extra clean in a pandemic. I have used another brand with my other children when they were babies but with my newest baby she did not like it as much. I love the fact that it has a carrying case and that you can also use the case to sanitize. Perfect if you are on the go at a friend's house and it drops on the floor or gets dirty. I like the fact that it also has a handle where you can link a pacifier clip to so it can stay by my little one when we are out of the house. The Philips Pacifiers are a great option with unique design features in a crowded marketplace. The Pacifiers design allow for our son to easy grab the pacifier and replace back into his mouth by himself. Furthermore the nipple being similar to the bottles we use for feedings made for easy acceptance. The clean / carrying case made for easy and through cleaning and transporting. The color options we were given weren't the greatest for a baby boy so I would consider expanding the color and character options for design. One other difficulty we found was when attaching something to keep the pacifier from falling on the ground we had to choose ones of the two sides which caused uneven weight distribution. Overall these are great pacifiers with practical use.
