We decided to gift this to my nephew since it&rsquo;s very age appropriate for him. He&rsquo;s 2 and he&rsquo;s in love with this set. Even my kids who are 4 and 6 struggled to gift this set away because it is so fun but they love they can play with it at their cousins house. The train makes fun sounds that delight all the children and make leaving it upstairs for them to play with independently a great choice. The pieces snap together nicely and I don&rsquo;t get nervous at all that someone will get hurt playing with it. Definitely already given the children a lot of fun play time already! It came with lots of different pieces to build the tracks . To be completely honest the directions (which came in a small paper ) were a little difficult to understand . However it did have a QR code for you to scan and could use a video to assemble it and i thought that was just easier for me . While it wasnt completely impossible to build , it was actually quiet pleasing and it took me about 10-15 minutes to build it for my 4 year old son. I did really appreciate that the train came already working and with batteries included . My kids have both been all over this toy since we built it , they both really like it ! It is such a cute and fun toy . I love how the trains move so effortlessly and smoothly on the tracks . It also has lots of different stickers and gadgets to move around to help make it a little more engaging and hands on . It has different settings for learning on the main train. The footprint is pretty big so it&rsquo;ll take up some room but there are several options in the instructions on how it can be put together. We went with the classic. It snaps together easily and doesn&rsquo;t come apart with typical toddler play which is great.
