Otherwise, great product. Easy to use. I really like that I can use oils in it. The machine makes a very loud noise all the time when in operation: not the water bubbling as some have described but a high pitch constant type of noise. It gives me a headache and I can&rsquo;t sleep in the room when it works, so not sure it is good for the baby either. We had a standard Vicks humidifier before and it was silent, but this thing is really annoying. Bad news is we had to use it cause our little one was sick. Good news is this really helped!! I didn&rsquo;t have to take him in shower and steam up the entire room and get soaked in the process haha. We put this by his bedside with some of the Vicks oil and it really did help him breath a little easier and helped open up his sinuses. I like this SleepyTime humidifier for several reasons: 1) Compact design: I have had a couple of similar products in the past that were bulky (making them annoying to move once filled) and hard to properly clean. This humidifier is nice and small. Once filled, it is very easy to pu tthe reservoir on the base without a single drop spilling. 2) Output: I was very pleased with the air produced. This is a cool-temperature humidifier, and it produces a significant stream of air and vapor coming out. I love that the top is directional, so I can point it away from the wall or direct the flow toward the person who needs it. 3) Simple to use: The opening for filling it is a quick flip of the wrist to open (rather than completely unscrewing something), and the hole large enough to make it easy to rinse/empty out the reservoir. 4) Lights: The green power light on the front is dim, so I didn't find it disruptive while I was sleeping. The nightlight feature is also not too bright. 5) Sound: This humidifer does make a quiet dripping/bubbling sound. I find it quite pleasant (especially since my whole household sleeps with sound machines). If you don't like noise though, the dripping sound might bother you. It seems to be really useful during these colder times, when the heater is always on. If you're anything like my family, you'll find yourself with a dry or stuffy nose in the mornings. It has become so bad that my son now uses this humidifier every night. The Vick's cooling pads help bring back some moisture in the air, while also aiding my family with their dry noses. You get that classic Vick's smell in the air. This is a no filter humidifier. Which means you only need to worry about refilling it with water for each use. It has a shut off feature when the water runs out. You can add essential oils if you please. There's a light setting for what can be used as a night light for your little one. It can produce multiple colors or just a certain one, which ever you prefer. This humidifier holds enough water for a night's sleep if you place the settings on low. The Vicks 3-in-1 Sleepy Time Humidifier makes our lives easier when sickness causes stress. The cool mist released into the air helps with their congestion so they can breathe easier at night. I love that it also turns off when the water tank is empty. Very handy when you are running on a few hours of sleep tending to your sick kid. But what is really special is the night light feature. It has 7 different lights so I can check on my sick kid in the middle of the night without having to wake them up. Plus it adds a bit of comfort for my child. The VapoPads are a very nice touch as well. It fills the room with that comforting Vicks scent, which for our family we correlate with getting better. The soothing menthol vapers really help with congestion. I personally believe every parent should have one or a few in case the whole family gets sick. I don&#39;t know why the manufacturer of all people said it cannot, but it can. You push the light button once and the light comes on and cycles through the colour options, push it again and it will stop cycling and will be steady on in that colour.
