He had an older model of this and he says that the steam output is so much better on the new one. We have not tried the oil diffuser function, but we are excited to. There is a soft nightlight glow that changes colors. Really anyone can use it. It has an amazing night light feature which I love. It&rsquo;s a wonderful soft glow. I love how versatile it is! You can put vicks pods in it or you can use it as a diffuser. I worked so well when my little one was sick. We use the diffuser a lot. Yes, you can use this unit has a humidifier for 6 month old babies. We cannot advise using any of the Vicks VapoPads for any infant under 10lbs, and for any infant between 10lbs and 22lbs, we can only advise using no more than 2 pads within any 24 hour period. I don&#39;t know why the manufacturer of all people said it cannot, but it can. You push the light button once and the light comes on and cycles through the colour options, push it again and it will stop cycling and will be steady on in that colour.
