I just fill up the water and add a Vicks pad and off he goes to sleep and in no time his allergies are better and he's sleeps more soundly. And the big plus is I don't have to deal with a filter getting clogged or anything like that. Just keep fresh clean water in the tank and you're all good. The size makes it easy to clean and carry. I have been using it at night to help with my seasonal allergies. I believe with consistent use it has helped with my overall sleep quality and allergy symptoms. I plan to use it in the future for relief from seasonal colds and what not. I will continue to purchase from Vicks in the future as they are a brand I trust and value their products. When you fill up the water tank and the mist just dispenses in the air, you just feel that moisture in the air. There is a opening on the side that you just push the button to the left and a little door opens and gives you access to put the Vapo Pads in. Ohh my goodness when I put the pad in and turned it on, it took me right to my childhood as we used Vicks products my whole childhood.
